Framed Eyecare and Glasses

Both doctor and front office have sales pitches and reactionary objection handling tactics, and less patient forward consideration. I was told I have 20/20 farsighted vision and only need a light prescription to read, at night. But I got the sales pitch I need "everyday glasses" too and have needed them since I was ten years old and was also told that "this is the reason I am tired and rubbing my eyes at the end of every day." Well that was a moment of prescription with no diagnosis. I was never asked if I felt tired at the end of a workday. I still went along with it, its a doctor recommendation and I am no doctor. I have had ray bans, have had only one pair, they had a ray bans advert up front so I asked about the quality of my 6 year old frames - I was then told that they don't carry ray bans because they were acquired by a chinese manufacturer and the quality has gone down since. Well that felt weird so it compelled me to do some research If you go, "frame" your experience within a sales context. Good tech and choice of glasses but make an informed decision

What a wonderful place. Everyone I spoke to was so kind and they were able to fit me in last minute. Dr. Herold is excellent at what he does and throughly answered all my questions and concerns. I felt very at ease and knew I was being taken care of. If you're looking for a new optometrist you will have peace of mind coming here!

Crystal vision achieved overall for my eyes ...Thankful for this outstanding professional eye care business close to home ! From booking the appointment easily to attaining an available appointment then being greeted by the kind professional staff manager then to meeting the professional optometrist Dr. Herald who preformed a thorough eye exam full of details . He is highly knowledgeable . It was a pleasure as well to meeting the professional framed eyecare expert Kat to help guide one for choosing the correct frames . Framed Eyecare and Glasses is a local small business gem !

Framed Glenwood is the best experience with eye care I've ever had. I loved my doctor in LA circa 2005, but had never had any reason for loyalty before or after that (so I kept going there on trips ever since), until I found Framed Glenwood. After two terrible experiences with recommended spots in town, I was delighted to find Dr. Herold and Kat! Kat is so warm and welcoming, and seems to know everyone who comes in the store. Dr. Herold is kind and professional and thoroughly discusses everything with his patients. Their care is first rate, customer service is incredible, and they have a great selection of frames and options for contact lenses even thought it's a quaint place. I would 100% recommend this spot, and will miss them now that I have moved out of state. I'm sure I'll be going back, though, if history repeats!

I had such a great experience here- every person on the staff is so great and helpful. I'm terrified of the thing that blows air in your eye, but the one they have was intentionally chosen to be less intense so clients felt more comfortable. How thoughtful!! Dr. Herold is amazing! He explained things to me and took the time to make me feel valued, which is often not the experience at a doctors office unfortunately. This is by far the best experience I've ever had at an eye doctor. I wish everyone could have an eye doctor like this! 11/10 recommend

Fantastic. I've been wearing glasses since I was 4 years old, this is the best eye doctor I've ever had. Dr. Herold is knowledgeable, caring, and personable. His staff are very friendly and love to help you find new glasses or make adjustments to your own. I must note that I feel very calm and relaxed when I go this practice, which is rarely the case at a doctor's office. Thank you!!

Overall: Great Location, Poor Customer Service I wanted to support a local small business and had been driving by and researching for a while, so I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I called for two days during business hours and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. When someone finally did, the man on the phone sounded like I was wasting his time. He mentioned that the woman who handles appointments was out and wouldn't be back until Wednesday of the following week (this was Friday when I called). He took my information, including insurance, and said she would call me back. No one ever did. Ultimately, I went to Target Optical on Edgewood and had a great experience. I really want to support local businesses in the community, but I can't if I can't even get in!
