recently visited Marmer Eye Center and was thoroughly impressed with the level of care and professionalism provided. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a comfortable experience from start to finish. The eye examination was thorough, and the doctor took the time to explain the results and answer all my questions. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall positive experience. I would highly recommend Marmer Eye Center to anyone in need of quality eye care.
This was the only office I could find that would accept my 3 year old for an eye exam under insurance. An hour and a half after my scheduled appointment I still saw people who were there waiting when I first walked in still waiting for their appointment.... No notice from the staff about wait times. Everything in the office looked like it was from a couple generations ago. They had a sign that said they don't make glasses there only could get the prescription and go else where.... Ended up walking out and would rather pay someone out of pocket than deal with this office.
While I stand firm on the fact that Dr. Marmer and his physician partner are excellent ophthalmologists, I find the general office management and optician side to be disappointing.
On my visit a few weeks ago I waited over two hours before I was called back to the examining room without any explanation or apology offered despite the fact that I had an appointment. They also couldn't find my patient file (although to be fair, it had been a few years since my last prior visit).
The opticians give off the energy that they really don't want to be there or to serve patients. I was told after paying for my glasses in full that it would take seven to 10 days for them to be ready for pickup and that they would call me. After three weeks, I phoned and was told that the opticians were only in the office two days a week. I phoned again a couple of days later and basically was told that there were people ahead of me and they would check to see if they were back when they got a chance. I finally received a call at the end of the third week.
When I went to pick up the glasses they just handed them to me. No measurements, no calibrations, no quality control, and since they were progressive lenses was told that it would take time for my eyes to get used to them. No prep or instructions. I had to pull up videos on YouTube after I got home to get an idea of what a reasonable expectation was for the lenses. They still don't feel settled to my eyes, and I'm not even sure that they were made correctly.
Unhappily, this will be my last visit to this office. I didn't feel that my patronage was appreciated, and my sense is that the office has become too complacent with the support that they've received from the community over the years.
Staff has bad moral, though this is what happens when you let staff do as they please. If there is not an optometrist on duty give the patient the option before making an appointment to consider whether are not they want to come in only for a prescription that can be taken somewhere else to be filled. My point of scheduling the appointment was because it's a one stop shop. The assistant doctor had a bad attitude as well. I will never acquire there service again due to there staff which are bad for business.
Sitting here with my special needs child as we speak. Had an appointment for 11am just witness 4 people walk right out the door. Very slow service even with appointment I'm just glad this is on a annual basis. I will never come back here again never. Staff just looks depressed and eager to not help at all. It's almost as if they love to see you suffer if you have newborns or small children please avoid this place. Be prepared to camp out.
This is one of the most UNPROFESSIONAL medicinal offices I have ever encountered! I was scheduled TWICE for appointments when they were CLOSED! Once on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2 PM! I did not receive a cancellation call that they were closed (could have been due to bad weather) when I called because I could see them, she tells me I WAS NOT SCHEDULED. Appointment rescheduled for today, Monday, January 9, 2017 at 8:15 AM, I get up to get my toddler ready and we arrive at 8 AM, they are CLOSED and do not open until 8:30 AM. As I was speaking with the security guard for the building, he advises one of the ladies that worked there was entering. I asked this heifer politely "Ma'am how is it possible that one can be scheduled for an appointment at 8:15 and you don't open until 8:30," and she kept walking and did not acknowledge me! Now, I have supported this business for many years and I am very disappointed to see that they have employed unorganized, unprofessional and disrespectful employees. His services are NOT cheap, either. If it were not for the clients, he would have NO business; and with my business, I help compensate your salary. Now, if one doesn't know something, simply state something but to keep walking is completely disrespectful and should not be tolerated!
I arrived to my appointment 10 minutes for my 3pm appointment. It's now 3:35pm and the 2 O'clock people are still waiting. Oh it's only about 14 people waiting more than half was here before me. This is going to be a long wait. Need new Dr.asap.
His surgery saved my vision. 10 stars
