I can agree with a lot of the bad energy and operational aspects of this place. The team here does not organized in fiscal aspect. They let you know minutes before your second required surgery about the outstanding balance from the first, anywhere from 4-8 weeks before. The billing depr representative likes to prove themselves right rather than understand your position. Also don't trust their word on what tiers or relationship they have with your insurance, contact you insurance to verify before walking in the door here. I would not recommend this facility or its current behind the scenes staff to anyone. The registration desk ladies were nice and tried but really they had to refer us or escalate out issues to the team in the offices.

Brought my mother in yesterday for cataract surgery. This place was incredibly disorganized! There was supposed to be a person at the door to greet her & collect intake info. However that woman wonders off. When she does come back she scolds you for entering the waiting room. We were ushered back into the packed lobby to wait for further instructions. My mother had paperwork to fill out but she is there for eye surgery & couldn't see to read the forms. We had to sit apart from each other & ask personal questions in front of every other person waiting because there is no way to sit close enough & we are not allowed in the office waiting room. How embarrassing!! No one needed to know her medication list or previous surgeries!! They asked her into the waiting room to take a co-pay. The woman that took her credit card disappeared for more than 15 minutes!! What could possibly take so long to run a credit card?!? After getting her card, handing it to me, asking me questions & even putting her arm around me the nurse/front desk woman asks "are you with her"?!?! I simply replied "no, I'm some random person just standing here"! She laughed! I truly do not think she even understood what I said. They finally took her back over an hour after her appointment time!!! In total I was there almost 3 hours & watched these employees walk around LOST!! It was truly a "who's on first" fiasco!! Not to mention the entire establishment was FILTHY!! Trash on the floor, in the lobby chairs, the walls & the table in the waiting room. Which this is the only place since Covid started that has magazines, books & pamphlets out for everyone. I saw at least 10 people touch the same book!! Last, parking is awful!!! My best advice, find another place to have eye surgery!!!! We will find somewhere else for the other eye!

WARNING!! Be careful with charges!!! Do not pay without detailed invoice or receipt!!! On the day of my husband's surgery, they have refused his surgery if the amount requested was not paid up front. We have a great private insurance which covers majority of the procedures. My husband attempted to dispute the amount requested on the spot but was unsuccessful. He was not given a legitimate choice; either pay or no surgery. In other words, pay or risk chance of losing an eye. The amount they had charged was 3.5 times over our out of pocket costs. Until today, almost 4 months post surgery, we have yet to receive our refund, or have had any success in receiving the details to where or how that 'out of pocket' costs were distributed. Our insurance company is currently fighting this for us.

I have had surgery twice here and they are the best. They took very good care of me and went above & beyond to ensure my comfort. The anesthesiologist listened to me and adjusted my anesthesia based on previous experience. I felt very at ease and in the best of hands in what could have been a stressful experience.

I recently had Cataract Surgery at this Surgery Center and it was top notch. They are very focused on patient safety and well being. The staff is extremely professional. I saw an improvement in my vision immediately after surgery. I highly recommend this surgery center

I know how livestock feel at a stock yard-heard you in and heard you out. Along with changing Of doctors post operation medication procedure. Dr Loft office had given me Pre operation and post operation medication instructions without his knowledge. Surgical center took it on their own to change my medication schedule. I told Piedmont surgical center nurse that Dr loft had already given me instructions prior to surgery. She said no it has changed ( she changed with out Dr knowledge) YES this increased the pain in my eye for 7 Days a migraine in your eye. Not to say could have really gone south -no antibiotics for a week after surgery. Did not find out until went back to Dr Loft for follow up. Dr Loft ask if we had stuck to medication schedule. Wife and I had instructions signed by nurse at surgical center. Dr Loft got a copy and seemed irtated and said he would get to the bottom of our situation. YES I AM IRRITATED for I put the CARE of my only eye in the hands of people that can't follow protocol. I've been blind in my right eye since age 19 from an accident and had reserved feeling on surgery in only eye. I was also told by nurse I would get a check on you call in 1 to 3 days. DIDNT GET THAT CALL UNTIL AFTER DR LOFT Contacted them on Medication instruction ERROR. THEIR RESPONSE WAS LIKE THAT OF A SMALL CHILD ( SOORRYY) IF I HAD TO DO OVER WOULD HAVE DONE A LOT MORE RESEARCH. I ONLY HAVE ONE EYE AND THEIR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM ON CHECKING MEDICATION SCHEDULE AFTER I QUESTIONED LEAVES ME WITH A STRONG DISSATISFACTION AND NO CONFIDENCE WOULD NOT RECOMEND. YOU SHOULD RESEARCH ORHER AVENUES BEFORE GOING TO PIEDMONT SURGICAL CENTER

My vision is worse now after my surgery. I have left several messages for someone to call me, but they never return your calls.

Had a yag done. Oksana was great, very helpful and kind.
