Costco Optical Department

Horrible service and it takes forever to get waited on. And some of the people are outright rude. The eye doctors office never answers their phone and if you wear gas perm contacts you have to pick them up in the eye doc office. They say they do lunch from 1-2, but I was there at 12:45 and guess what. Office closed. Waste of time, waste of gas. NEVER AGAIN

Standing waiting right now. There are 8 to 10 people standing here waiting on service. This review is for Costco management. You need to hire more people for your optical department. It's busy every time I visit here. To busy for the number of customers. Other than that the optical department here is great! No reflection on the employees behind the counter.

I do love Costco's but I've got my glasses and sunglasses at their optical place and they have never been right. They use every excuse in the book to give you a reason for reasons why they might be wrong, except for who they're using to make their glasses... when you have bifocals and you have to lift your glasses to Reed. There's a problem. Plus you can't see distance with your sunglasses... I will never ever go there again

I had the best experience getting prescription glasses there. Arturo helped me with ordering glasses, making sure they fit me exactly right. When my glasses came in a week later, Rashard assisted me and made sure the glasses were perfect. Both associates were kind and helpful. This place hands down is the best! The Optometrist and the optical staff are amazing! They really listen, take their time! One specific time I had an amazing experience my glasses broke on Halloween every place was closed I could not get anywhere to fix my my glasses popped in at Costco they were closing for the day and the optometrist took me right in really made me feel like I was a person and not just a number. And the staff was amazing helping me pick out my glasses. I recommend this place anytime anybody ask about my glasses!

As of spring 2023, $90-130 for appointment without insurance and around $120-300 per pair of glasses. Absolutely worth it. The more glasses you buy, the cheaper it is. Had great service at the desk. Went only on weekdays. Shorter over the phone than in person, but if you don't have insurance this is the best option.

We took our daughter there in 2019 and 2020. She received two VASTLY different prescriptions (totally opposite) from year to year through the two different optometrists. They were so different that the Costco optician initially thought I had given him the wrong prescription. He even commented that they almost never see such a dramatic change in prescriptions. Our daughter commented that with the first prescription, her eyesight was as bad if not worse. As a result, she didn't wear the glasses. With the second one, she said they didn't really do anything and, as best we could tell, they were little more than weak reading glasses. Again, the real issue wasn't found. We were fed up so we went to someone in Trenton, Georgia recommended by our primary care provider. He put our daughter through a battery of tests, not all computerized such as at the opticians at Costco. Long story only somewhat shorter is that he got to the root of the problem and found that our daughter's left eye was misaligning at certain distances causing blurred to double vision and prescribed something that completely addressed that issue. After giving them two shots, we simply cannot recommend the optometrists at this Costco location.
