I've been going to eye doctors since I was in 4th grade. I used ZocDoc to help me find a new doctor after moving here and admittedly should have done more research. I booked with Dr. Johansen. I thought he must be having a terrible day until I read another review about him. He is just rude. He isn't happy and is really really terrible with patients. Maybe he hates his job? I'm not sure but I told him I thought my eyesight had gotten worse. He asked me to read the line and I said it was blurry but he told me to try my best. He said I did good enough. I told him it could be clearer but he insisted my eyesight had actually gotten better....I booked a new appointment with LensCrafters when I got in the car because I knew I couldn't order contacts or get new glasses with that prescription. Complete waste of time and money.

The entire staff is courteous & helpful. Dr Watson is the best! DeMinka helped select my new lenses for my existing frame. She has a great personality & was most helpful. We shared several laughs throughout the process making a tedious job fun. I highly recommend MyEyeDr.

I had to get into an eye doctor while traveling out of town. From beginning to end this team was top notch. Nice and friendly as you walk in and cater to you as a guest every step of the way. Very smooth process and everyone I came into contact with was professional and courteous. We don't have this kind of hospitality where I'm from. Great job team.

I've been to MyEyeDr numerous times and have seen three of their doctors on staff. The majority of the staff is helpful, professional, and provide adequate service. I never feel pressure to buy products in-house and they will happily provide you with written prescriptions so you can purchase glasses or lenses elsewhere. I would highly recommend scheduling with either Dr. Donald Watson or Dr. Samantha Kelly-Seltzer. Both are extremely helpful and spend ample time addressing concerns and don't mind explaining in detail. I would highly recommend that you AVOID scheduling with Dr. Jay Johansen, OD. His "bedside" manner is cold and borderline rude. Almost as if you are bothering him for booking the appointment and that he is no longer happy with his career choice.

I've been coming here for almost 3ish years and I just wanted to send my appreciation for Dr. Kelly-Seltzer and Jo who helped me getting my contacts for the first time. I'm very squirmy with my eyes so it took a long time and I was struggling. They were very encouraging, a very great help. I also can't remember the young woman with the red curly hair but she was a pleasure. Made the atmosphere very light hearted I appreciate her energy! Thank you all for you help! Long story short.I had a referral sent to them months ago. Everytime I've called, there's been an excuse. One time it was, "the lady that does those hasn't been here, so give it time". Finally I got an appointment. I specifically asked for my niece to have a plequenil eye exam done. Because last time they were supposed to, they didn't. I get there and try to make sure they were doing to do it this time. The girl with the Bruce Vilanch look kind of brushed us off and was like "I'm just a front person, I don't know about exam stuff" . She couldn't ask for us? So u called to ask had they sent the results over to the pcp like they said they would. Of course they hadn't, and the lady over the phone kept telling me she couldn't give me results over the phone. And I kept telling her I don't need the results, I need them sent over to the primary care doctor. She had an attitude. Somebody else got on the phone to try and fix the situation. And of course the pcp calls and told me they sent nothing about plaquenil results. And I'm sure it's because they didn't do the core t test. My niece is too afraid to ask questions and stand up for herself. So I'm sure they only cared about getting her on and out. I was going to call and reschedule. But it's no use. I'll try statesboro office. I can't stand this office anymore

This was my second visit to myeyedr and I am very much satisfied. I was warmly greeted by staff and checked in by the lovely Grey, who was so kind and patient with me. I was seen by Dr. Kelly, who answered all of my questions and concerns. I never felt rushed and she made me laugh throughout the interaction. Finally, checked out by Meka, who exudes the most amazing customer service. 10 star service from an all star staff.

This practice is AMAZING! Dr. Kelly was kind enough to see me late in the day on a Saturday. I was in Savannah on vacation and thought I had a retinal tear in my left eye. I had one in my right eye years ago so I knew the symptoms. I first went to the ER, and they did an ultrasound which didn't show much. I wanted this checked out more thorough so went to MY EYE DR in Savannah where I was treated in an amazing fashion. Drea at check in /check out was so kind and efficient and Grey the pre tester was thorough and kind and informative. Then Dr. Kelly saw me. She spent a LOT of time with me and did a lot of diagnostic tests and gave me a very thorough eye exam to see if she could find a tear. I would give her 10 stars out of a 5 star rating system as she was professional but also had compassion. I was so concerned as I was out of town and I knew what the first tear entailed. She told me that after the testing she thought there could be a small tear, but she recommended that a MD examine me as well. She was texting several Dr.'s while I was in her office and even though it was close to 5 pm when she would leave, she never appeared bothered or rushed and only did the best to coordinate care for me. All in all this is an amazing practice and my experience here was outstanding. I felt comfortable with her professional opinion and recommendation and would definitely go to see her at this practice if I lived in the area. I live out of State many hours away so it would not be feasible for us as much as I thought she and her staff were AMAZING. I highly recommend the practice and her. She truly knows what she is doing and takes the time needed with her patients to figure out what steps need to be taken next. She's not a surgeon, but she was certainly trying to coordinate it with me if I needed eye surgery. A PLUS. Thank you Dr. Kelly and staff! Grateful is an understatement!!!!:). You are what every physician should aspire to be--kind, compassionate, thorough and knowledgeable with a great skill set. You possess them all! Susie
