America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I recently had a very bad and disappointing experience at America's Best on 12/11/2025 & 01/09/2026. On 1/9, I scheduled a 2nd eye exam appointment after initially being seen in December prior to Christmas and my eyeglass prescription bifocal location was incorrect (too low). They sent the eyeglasses off and when they returned after New Years, the prescription was still wrong. I scheduled this 2nd appointment in hopes to correct the prescription again; however, I waited for about 30 minutes after being seated to be told "they can't locate my chart". The office manager (Ms. Nesbitt) searched for records and could not locate. The Doctor (Willnella Peters) advised the office Manager that she could not perform another eye exam because she didn't have her notes and writeup from the previous eye exam 12/11/2025 because the file was lost and she couldn't compare her notes. Dr. Peters was very unprofessional with the situation and walked away waving her hand as "I don't' care" and proceeded to leave the office for the day. I found the interaction with the optometrist to be very unprofessional when she left without completing another exam because my entire prescription was incorrect. The day I initially visited the office on 12/11, all computers were down; however, the Dr. still completed an eye exam, which I thought was strange due to no power, but I figured they were working off a possible generator. The Doctor was complaining about staff not knowing how to write up files manually when I had my initial exam. The optometrist also ran through the eye exam too quickly. Due to the poor service by Dr. Willnella Peters , I contacted another American Best on Camp Creek to see if they can re-exam my eyes since they are the same company; however, I was advised by staff that the Manager (Tanyika Ellis) stated I would have to pay for a whole new exam after explaining the issue I had with the Union City store. Due to poor professional misconduct by Dr. Willnella Peters and poor service with both American's Best locations, I have located another Optometry location elsewhere. I will also be reporting this poor service and misconduct to National Headquarters.

Been with Americas Best for a the past 3yrs or so and usually use the North Druid office for their service . This is my 2nd time coming to the Unioncity office and was disappointed in the service I received from the Dr Willeta Peters . I had a scheduled appt for 12:40 , arrived at 12:48, the staff was nice but the Dr tone was not . She said she couldn't see me because I was still late 8minutes , and I explained to her that I came all the way from Atlanta to this office and can't control the traffic nor the workers that's doing the construction on freeway. So I rescheduled for a 2:40 appt even though now that will inconvenience me due to me having to pick up my children from school. I think she should have some consideration and empathy for her patients. Not only am I patient here so is my children. I will continue to travel up north location for Americas Best because this was not a considerable choice next time . The country government is already Shut down and I dont need any more negativity. The staff was nice , their tone was nice , but like I said . If you want to been seen @Unioncity Location you better plan to come a hr early than appt because Dr Willetta Peters don't care why you are late , in her mind that's no excuse .

My daughter's appointment was for 9:50am for a dilation. She asked the doctor questions and she kept cutting her off. And here is it almost two hours later and we are still here. And the doctor and her assistant don't seem to have any sense of urgency to get the patients seen and handled quickly. The doctor and her assistant seem unhappy to be here.

It's going on my 4th week from my initial eye exam. This week along they have cancel my appts. Twice. I still cant see proper and it seem no one cares or willing to do their job. They are willing to just send me to another location. In a few days I'm about to travel out of the country and I still can't see properly due to lack of accountability and professionism. They keep trying to reschedule but I have responsibilities with work and kids to where I can't just keep taking off or coming in due to lack of not handling business correct.

I want to give a shout out to manager Monica nesbit, Alexis and all of the front office staff for the excellent customer service for my appointment. Dr.willnella peters was very rude to me while waiting on my appointment I had my closed top water bottle and she immediately said excuse me you cant have food or drinks in here. I proceed to look up from my phone and say well good morning to you also doctor that would have nice to start off with. I work in customer service no matter how the day is going I always started with hello how are you doing today I just wanted to let someone know my experience

Being used to only private eye doctors. I decided to try them. I had a very professional experience. Starting with Shana she started the process, Makayla made my protesting comfortable and GM Monica, not enough positive adjectives to describe her assistance. Then, Dr. Peter's, taught me about cholesterol factors my private eye doctor never mentioned. I'm glad I came and recommended them.

No customer service. No care and concern for patients. This location is not it and I should have read the reviews before booking my appointment. The dr on duty is making up rules because they want to go to leave. My appt was scheduled for 12:50. I got there at 12:50. The dr was already outside in the car. The lady at the front told me to give her a moment. She had to go outside and talk to whoever was in the car. She comes back and says in the 12 o'clock hour there is no grace period. I simply said ok you all are making up stuff but that's fine. And I left. Do not visit this location. I can't say that anyone here knows what true customer service is. You're a drs office and have no idea of the reason a patient would be making an appointment to have their eyes checked. Just close or get a new replace the staff

The ophthalmologist was very rude I take some medication that dries my mouth out she walked passed me over 3 times not even acknowledging that I was there when she called my name she rudely said to me when you come back don't bring no cups with you we don't allow them in here I had a thermal cup with a screw on top so after my exam I went to front to choose my frame I noticed that every employee had a cup sitting on there desk I didn't think to take pictures that day but when I went to pick my glasses up I got photos I will never ever do business with that store and I will tell all my family and friends to avoid it like the plague terrible customer service
