It was fairly easy to get an appointment as a new patient. They had appointments available within less than a week. So far, I just got a regular eye exam, and it was fine. Seems like a decent option for eye care in Hilo. Also, the building it's in is a fun blast from the past. Feels like something or if the 80s.

I have seen Dr. Kunimura for 15 plus years. I would fly from other islands to see him. He was the best eye doctor I ever had and although I do not begrudge him his retirement, I know that there will never be another eye doctor as competent as he was and I will miss him dearly as I search for his replacement.
