Yesterday we had eye exams and eyewear fittings with Dr. Lauren and Cory, and despite an unexpected fire alarm and power outage that lasted nearly 20 minutes, her team delivered truly outstanding care. Instead of sending us home, they adapted on the fly--using old-school techniques like a traditional eye chart to ensure my husband could see properly through his new contact lenses, and for me, Dr. Lauren and her assistant carefully measured my vision using nontraditional methods with only natural daylight coming through the storefront windows. Eventually, the power returned and she was able to finish the exam.
Their professionalism, creativity, and calm under pressure were impressive. We are genuinely grateful for the care and dedication they showed in the middle of what could have been a very frustrating situation. Their service went above and beyond, and they are cool people, too!

I had the best first time experience!! I needed to renew my contacts. Scripts expired. My doctor couldn't see me for another month! Went to Out to See the next day. I felt my exam was way more thorough than what I usually get. I got me contacts and new eye glass prescriptions. Recently picked up my eye glasses and I love them! I had a lens replacement that went bad and caused significant nerve damage in my left eye. I was referred to another Optometrist in Kailua and the horror story continued. Thats another story but it lead me to try Out To See. Wow. Dr. M and her staff are amazing. I rarely write these however my experience could not have been better and people should know. She spent over 2 hours with me, testing, fitting and explaining my condition. She fitted me with glasses but also contacts and it changed my world. Litterally. They are so much more than just a place to get your glasses. To say I highly recommend Dr M and all at Out to See is an understatement. Give them a try, you wont be sorry.

Very cute shop. All of the latest technology. Super sweet doctor and staff. She really listens to your concerns and will even wash your dirty glasses. He is so kind to fix you old glasses and really goes above and beyond to help you with a new pair. (Will even fix them for you again if you sit on them in the car in the way home) The doctor also did a great job getting me to a really good specialist that I needed.

I knew this would be more expensive than a mall optical shop, but based on the reviews and website, I tried Out to See for my son who has had trouble wearing contacts. In Kailua and had a problem with my prescription sunglasses. A screw on the eyepiece had fallen out. They worked on replacing the screw and would not take any money for their work. This is not my current optometrist as I live in Maui and was on Oahu for a visit. I had to leave a review and give it two thumbs up and five/five stars as they were too kind. I could tell the gentleman who helped me was passionate about his work. Thanks so much and alo'ha!
