Boise Mountain Eyecare was extremely professional and caring at the same time. This was my first appointment with them, Dr Finch was caring and took the time to explain my eye exam and encouraged questions. When it came time to select new frames, they were very helpful in selecting the appropriate and flattering frames.
Every time I walk into Boise Mountain Eyecare I'm greeting with the most friendly welcoming faces. I have worked with every person that works there and I've never had a negative experience. It's a fun an happy environment and Dr Steeble adds to that experience. He's friendly(like you have known him forever)professional and he has some what good dad jokes. Most of all he cares about you and wants to give you the best treatment possible.
Boise Mountain Eyecare is absolutely amazing! I had to reschedule both of my daughters' appointments, as well as my own appointment, several times due to scheduling conflicts - Every time I had to reschedule, they were great, never made me feel bad or uncomfortable, and communicated with me the entire time via text! The doctor was extremely thorough, patient, and welcoming - I love Boise Mountain Eyecare, and will never go anywhere else for my and my family's vision needs!
Everyone at Boise Mountain Eyecare was exceptionally welcoming, kind and passionate about their work. I am a new patient to this practice and Dr. Holly was amazing. She listened to my concerns, spent time answering all my questions and the exam was very thorough. I have seen many eye doctors over the past 30 years and hands down Boise Mountain Eyecare has been my best experience.
An absolutely fantastic experience every time. Eye exam appointments are affordable and the entire staff is warm and exceptionally helpful. I see Dr. Todd who I highly recommend. They have me in and out promptly and always clean up my glasses before I head out the door.
We are moving our family to another office's care. After multiple visits with different children, it was the same experience: despite having insurance, the office was not upfront about charges and fees and seemed to be trying to "trick" us into spending more.
The reception area was the best part of the experiences - they were friendly and helpful as was Wiley - the rest of the our interactions were a bit uncomfortable and I felt like I needed to be on my toes so as to not be purchasing "extras".
For example, when asked if we wanted a retina scan, we were told of the benefits, not of the cost. I asked if it cost anything to do that option (as our last Optometrist's office was very transparent about services and charges) and they confessed there was a charge. I said no thank you and then was told they would waive the fee. (???) We have always just chosen to go the old school route of dilated eyes with previous doctors - it felt like the retina scan is the doctor's preference and there is a tactic to have the scan and have the patient pay.
This was repeated with each of my children on separate visits. When one was picking out frames, we chose a frame that was within our insurance coverage and would be fully covered, only to be stunned at check out to be told they would be over $200. I asked how, with insurance being applied, and was told all the features of the glasses - multiple additions were was tacked on without my choosing them to be. We then pared it down to the one feature I typically get and still the cost was more than expected. It felt like they were trying to tack on expenses without my knowing. My adult daughter went in just recently, and, despite having insurance, and choosing not to get glasses there (there was an effort to persuade her to purchase a $500 frame - she said no and chose one within our insurance's coverage - when the same tactic was pulled of telling her she owed $200+ dollars as again, a hefty addition of add-ons and features that she wasn't given as options was included in that price. She asked for just her prescription, was told she owed $30+ for the contact lens fitting (she said she didn't come for that - she came for glasses as she'd told the doctor). She showed them her card again, which showed she should have had no copay and then she said she owed them the $30+ for the retina scan (which they did indeed do as she fell for that one). She left, frustrated, still having to buy frames elsewhere, and like she'd been tricked. I had meant to choose another optometrist before anyone else went, but her glasses had broken. We will not be going back again.
My first visit to Boise Mountain Eyecare and I was quite pleased with the entire visit. I had downloaded the forms ahead of time, filled them out and returned them. Went in for my appointment and went through the process with no problems. Ordered new lenses and left quite pleased with the process.
Todd and Holly are both so amazing at what they do. Kind, caring, compassionate and personable. I love this office- every staff member is so nice and they really go above and beyond. Will go here forever!
