I cannot recommend Diverge Performance highly enough. If your child is struggling with school or coordination, do not hesitate to get an evaluation here--it has been a complete game-changer for my teenage son.
Earlier this year, we were hit with a series of sudden, scary challenges. My son, who had always been a straight-A math student, was suddenly failing the subject. He began experiencing dyslexia-like symptoms where letters and words would move around on the page. Even more concerning, he was struggling to drive safely because he couldn't accurately process what he was seeing on the road.
After an evaluation at Diverge Performance, we discovered the root cause: eye-tracking issues. We suspect a concussion back-to-back with a bout of serious pneumonia last year played a role in his brain and eyes losing coordination with one another.
The transformation since then has been nothing short of miraculous. We attended weekly customized sessions that pinpointed exactly where the visual disconnect was happening. My son was diligent with his home exercises, and the results were incredibly fast. Within just three weeks of starting, he was no longer failing math.
By the end of his treatment plan, the improvements were total:
His reading returned to normal.
His confidence behind the wheel improved significantly.
His overall mood and outlook on school did a complete 180.
The team at Diverge is professional, insightful, and truly cares about their patients' success. We are currently taking a summer break from in-person sessions to focus on a customized home exercise plan they built for him. We'll be returning in July for a "touch-up" to ensure he is stable and ready to hit the ground running for the new school year.
If you feel like something "isn't clicking" with your child's learning or coordination, please see the team at Diverge. They gave my son his confidence back!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Brewer. He is truly an expert in brain rehabilitation and neurology. From my very first visit, he took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and explain everything in a way that made sense. His deep understanding of how the brain heals and adapts gave me hope when I felt stuck.
Under Dr. Brewer's guidance, I've experienced remarkable improvement in my symptoms. His treatment plan was tailored specifically to my needs, and he consistently adjusted it based on my progress. He combines cutting-edge neurological knowledge with a compassionate, patient-centered approach -- something that is hard to find
Thanks to his expertise and care, l've regained confidence and functionality I never thought possible. I highly recommend Dr. Brewer to anyone seeking help with neurological or brain rehabilitation issues. He's a true professional who genuinely cares about his patients' recovery.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Brewer & his practice. From the moment you walk in the door, the experience is thorough, thoughtful, & truly exploratory. The follow-up is outstanding, & you genuinely feel like more than just a patient, you're treated like family.
Dr. Brewer and his team have a rare ability to relate to all patients, which clearly comes from having been in the patient's shoes themselves. That empathy shows in every interaction. The environment is welcoming and hospitable, paired with top-notch equipment & cutting-edge technology that reflects an incredibly high standard of care.
What really sets them apart is how they encompass the whole body, not just a single issue. There's clear forward planning with exercises, tools, & take-home assets laid out for months ahead, making progress feel intentional & structured. Everything is optimized to maximize your time, with transparent scoring, updates, and clear benchmarks along the way.
They are genuinely invested -- almost addicted -- to patient progress, in the best way possible. You leave with a turnkey, easy-to-follow home protocol & a full understanding of what you're working toward and why. There's zero gatekeeping of information or resources, just generosity with knowledge & support.
Despite immense expertise, Dr. Brewer remains incredibly humble, which makes the entire experience even more impactful. If you're looking for a provider who is thoughtful, forward-thinking, & deeply committed to your long-term progress, this is the place!
When I first started seeing Dr. Brewer I really was not sure what to expect. I just knew that over the last few years, my eyes were increasingly not working well together anymore. The acuity in my vision was suffering. I needed help and was hoping some sort of vision therapy could help correct the problem without getting a new prescription. I'm very happy to share that my vision has improved immensely. I still have work to do and will need to continue being consistent in the exercises that Dr. Brewer has provided me, but I am confident that it can continue to improve to a place where my vision acuity is much finer and not need an updated prescription. Dr. Brewer has an arsenal of different exercises and tools to help connect your body with your brain resulting in better vision. I cannot recommend him enough!
Thank you for everything Dr. Brewer! I hope you and Courtney are well :)
Dr. Paul is wonderful. It's so rare to find a doctor willing to spend the time to know you personally and educate you so thoroughly. The help he has provided my daughter and I has been invaluable. My 5th grader has been struggling in school for years and now has improved to being on grade level with a renewed hope for her education. Thank you for your time, knowledge, and kindness that has contributed to the confidence she's gained and the results are lasting. She's improved on tracking, visual processing, visual memory, reading, self regulation and symptoms of adhd. We can't thank you enough.
I've dealt with post concussion syndrome for 3.5 years straight now. I've seen a lot of specialist to help me get back to school and exercising.
What I really appreciate about this clinic is the time spent with Dr. Brewer. It's very specialized. Most clinics I'm working with associates and employees that are not the doctor. But here I spent 1 on 1 time with Dr. Brewer and felt it was really important for him to get this stuff figured out.
We did a ton of tests. He found that my eye drags to the left a ton which is really taxing for my brain which leads to symptoms. He sent me home with homework to help with it! Also. Very cheap relative to what concussion care normally costs.
I have been looking for someone like Dr. Paul for 2 years now since being involved in a car accident that left me with a TBI that changed everything about the way I live my life. Dr. Paul's specialty, training, and passion in the neurology of trauma enables him to match the treatment to the specific symptoms I've been experiencing and he has been able to help me recalibrate my visual, vestibular, and proprioception systems as well as explain my brain injury in a way that makes sense. I have seen huge improvements in just a few visits to his office. My headaches, nausea, balance, walking, and brain fog have improved and after a session with him I feel like I can think clearly, feel happy, stand straighter, and actually feel my feet solidly on the floor. His assistant, Courtney, is also very helpful and kind. Come give Dr. Paul a try, he has helped me to finally get feeling better. It feels good to feel good!
Dr. Brewer is amazing to work with! He is incredibly knowledgeable and caring to his patients. I've been seeing him after multiple concussions and have received well rounded treatment that focuses both on the vision and vestibular system as well as nervous system regulation during my exercises. He meets his patients where they are while still pushing them enough to improve without over doing it. I would recommend him to anyone who is struggling with vision and vestibular issues after concussion! I have seen multiple practitioners in the Boise area for concussion rehab and he is by far the best!
