Idaho eye care may welcome all patients BUT will not allow you to change doctors. My first optician only works one day a week. I can no longer accommodate Friday's. I requested an appointment on a different day and was told that is not possible because I am not allowed to switch doctors. I find that decision ambiguous, discriminatory and simply bad for all patients. Now it is necessary for me to find a practice that can accommodate me for a day other than Friday when I care for my grandson. Unacceptable! I am 79 years old. This is most difficult for me. Maybe Idaho Eye Care does not want to accept senior citizens as patients.
I had been a patient at Muto John H Optometrist for many years. I have had regular checkups with them, I have purchased my eye glasses through them and been a very faithful patient.
Recently my eyeglasses broke that I had purchurchest from them so I called in preparation to have this taken care of. I was told that my prescription had changed and my option was to just buy new glasses. I let them know that I am ok with this and proceeded to pick out my new pair. I explained to them that I still work in my office in front of a computer and that they need to be like my current pair so I am able to do my work.
After the order came in, the glasses were not even close to my prescription. They apologized and ordered a new pair. The new pair came in and again were not even close. I could not use them at all. Again they apologized and ordered a new pair. Third time they came in and they were not usable.
My work getting frustrated with the situation let me know I could not continue to take time off for my appointments and that I needed to get glasses so I could continue my duties at the computer. I let my Optometrist know that I was going to get some cheap glasses until we can get this resolved.
Soon I received a letter in the mail from Muto John H Optometrist letting me know that I was no longer a patient and was not welcome at their facility. I called and asked why this was and they would not tell me any reason for this action but if I wanted to dispute it I could write them a letter asking to come back. I felt very abandoned and betrayed after all the many years of giving them my business and money. I did not write that letter. I will just continue to tell people my experience with them.
I will always recommend Idaho Eye Care..It is a ten in every aspect from the warm greeting from the office staff to the superior care from the doctors. I also want to highly recommend the yellow lens for night or fog vision. Recently in WA on the Olympic peninsula area of Shelton they were invaluable with the dark foggy days and early sunset. They may seem silly at first until you use then to drive in darkness. They don't work in the sunshine of course. However, I have my sungasses for that. All my glasses from regular lens, computer, reading, improved night vision to sunglasses, I use them all and love them! All from Idaho Eye care!
I recently visited Idaho Eyecare Center and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with their level of professionalism and care. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist me in any way possible.
The eye exam was thorough and my doctor took the time to explain everything in detail, ensuring I understood everything before leaving. I was particularly impressed with the technology used in the examination, it was state-of-the-art and made the whole process very efficient.
I was also pleased with the selection of eyeglasses and contacts available at the center. The optometrist took the time to work with me to find the perfect pair of glasses to fit my face and my style. They also provided me with helpful tips on how to care for my contacts and glasses to ensure they last as long as possible.
Overall, I had an excellent experience at Idaho Eyecare Center. I would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for top-notch eye care services. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and provide an exceptional level of care that is truly unmatched. If you're looking for a center that goes above and beyond to ensure your vision needs are met, then Idaho Eyecare Center is the place for you!
I have always been completely happy with first, Dr. Muto Sr., then Dr. Derek Muto, and now I tried their newest doctor, Dr. Amy Neideffer. I have prisms and have had cataract surgery. I tried going elsewhere this year for glasses. I even purchased 2 pair elsewhere. None worked for me. I came back to Idaho Eyecare and just picked up perfect corrective progressive glasses and wonderful frames with the help of Julie, the best optician in Boise. I'm more than happy and won't go anywhere else again. My husband also always receives great glasses here. We are very much recommending them.
The doctor was great, friendly and informative. The person who helped me with the frames was less then helpful.
I've been wearing glasses pretty much my whole life, and contacts for many years. I have been to several places around the valley ranging from very expensive, to budget.
Idaho Eyecare Center is by far THE BEST experience I have ever had in Boise! The staff is warm and friendly, the equipment is clean and up-to-date, the doctors are knowledgeable and kind. I like to know what's going on with my eyes so I ask a lot of questions. The docotor kindly answered all of my questions and are good listeners, exactly what we need more of in all health related fields! Thank you for being awesome! You've made a lifelong customer out of me. :)
My family of five has been going to Idaho Eyecare for almost 20 years. Customer service is always excellent. The doctors always take time to do a thorough exam and address any concerns. The eyewear staff are extremely helpful with picking new glasses! We definitely recommend them for your Eyecare.
