I'm very pleased with my recent experience at PCLI. From start to finish I was very pleased with the entire staff on how well they all worked together, the smoothness of their process, their professionalism and their detailed explanation of each process I went through. The end result is that my eyesight has been restored to a point that it's better than I ever could have imagined. Things are brighter, clearer and more vibrant. I honestly feel like I've gotten new eyes. I'm almost 74 years old and also a heart transplant recipient of more than 15 years. Truly an amazing experience for me.

I received excellent care from the staff at the Boise location. Everyone was very kind, friendly and professional beginning with the receptionists and all other staff. Shoutout to my driver the day of surgery who actually helped to calm my nervousness and informed me of parts of the process and procedure that I wasn't aware of (in particular that the surgeon wasn't going to be the doctor who I'd seen for my pre op appointments). I would have given my experience a higher rating bc of the excellent care and kindness from the staff but the procedure itself felt like I was just a small part in a very large cattle call being shuffled from place to place, one chair to another along with many other patients. I realize that cataract removal surgery is a very common surgery but I found the process at PCLI to be like a factory assembly line. It felt rote and mechanical. There must be a way to run an efficient business but still make the experience feel less robotic, more personal.

On consecutive days, PCLI surgery removed cataracts, corrected significant astigmatism and installed corrective lenses that ameliorated extreme nearsightedness on BOTH eyes, limiting the time normally built in between procedures on two eyes and reducing the awkwardness, discomfort and loss of functional ability that I would have experienced had they scheduled the surgeries two weeks apart. Staff and professional employees were all warm, friendly, helpful and extremely competent. The surgeries were not an ordeal as I'd feared, and outcome was even better than I'd hoped.

I haven't changed my mind! I rate PCLI
5 Star across the board after my 2nd cateract surgerylast week. It also included having to reattach the lens into place. I am even starting to get some sight back in that eye!!!

Long story short, their office told me they were in network with my insurance. Blue Cross of Idaho told me they were in network. I had the consultation, scheduled my cataract surgery and when I arrived for my surgery, was told they made a mistake and were not in network. They said it would now cost me $6,000 out of pocket. They knew I was upset. They said they left me a voicemail, which was a lie. I didn't even receive a missed call from them. The office manager said they would write it all off. They kept sending me bills for almost $250.00. I tried 5 times to notify them it was supposed to be written off. They refused and sent me to collections.
Obviously, I will never, EVER recommend them. However, I will recommend that should you choose this office for ANY services, it would be in your best interest to get everything in writing prior to.

From the driver they provided ( who was excellent!) to checking in which felt like checking in at a fine hotel to the nurses being attentive and funny, to the doctor coming out and talking with me about the surgery it was one of the best experiences I've had.
