Stanton Optical

I went in to the Boise location, on Milwalkee, for their buy 2 pairs for $79 with an eye exam. I followed all the guidelines for the promo but walked out paying over $100 for the 2 pairs because the doctor "recommended" something that was an upcharge after there was no evidence of a doctor present at the appointment. The lady working with me even turned off the monitor where the video call should have been displayed. When discussing pricing, she was insisting that if I didn't get the recommended add on, I would likely come back to change the lenses later anyways. In the end, I felt coerced into the higher price just to avoid more hassle later. They have all of there pricing options all mixed together and unorganized so it took significantly more searching than it should have for me to find frames within my budgeted price range. I was told "the company" wants them organized by brand, not price. This made it take longer for me to find frames. Then after I picked my frames I was informed that one of my chosen styles was a green tag even though it was clearly blue, just a lighter shade than the other blue tags for the pair pricing. So I wasn't able to get both of the frames that I wanted. I tried a different choice and was told the same thing. So I got 2 of the same frame instead of the 2 that I originally wanted to get. I payed and was informed that they would be ready in an hour and I could come back at that time. I came back an hour and 15 minutes later to find that they only had 1 of the pairs ready because they didnt have enough lenses in stock, so I will have to go back again to get my second pair. The company advertises that you will be finished in 30 minutes but I spent over 2 hours there between the prescription testing, trying to find frames within the promotional guidelines on their unorganized walls of frames, and trying to understand my options and why I was being upsold something that I didn't feel was necessary. Overall, I felt they cared more about upselling than what I wanted or needed. The tags need to be updated to clearly and accurately reflect the pricing. The organization needs to be changed to make shopping easier for the customers. Nothing about my visit was as advertised. I will not be returning to Stanton Optical for future glasses needs.

Had a great experience at Staton Optic! They got my prescription glasses ready the same day. Nicole and Michell were incredibly helpful and kind throughout the process. Fast, friendly, and professional service--definitely recommend to anyone in need of quality eyewear!

I had broken my glasses and didn't have any backups so I needed some frames pretty quick. Walked in to the Milwaukee location and was immediately greeted by Kaylee who was eager to assist and helped me find some great frames within minutes of looking. She then walked me through the process of getting lenses into the frames and explained everything clearly and with confidence. She also was able to explain my prescription to me when my previous eye doctor didn't. I was able to get my new pair of glasses within the hour and at a solid price, better than I've seen around Boise so far. Shouts out Kaylee for providing great and knowledgeable service.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to after what I witnessed today. While I was there, I saw an optician get spoken to in a really demeaning way by two customers a family and then another family, even though she was literally just doing her job. It honestly made me sad to watch. What stood out to me was how she handled it. She stayed calm, respectful, and kind, even while being put down. That takes a level of patience and professioonalism that deserves recognition. No one deserves to be treated poor for trying to help. I hope she knows that her effort, grace, and hard work were noticed and appreciated. She made a difficult situation look effortless, and that matters. I didn't get a name but I ended up looking on my recipes and on the top the associates name that I'm guessing who did my sale is Kaylee. So Kaylee kudos .

Stephanie was so welcoming and understanding! When I walked in she took care of every bit and made me feel confident knowing she was taking care of eye care. Clear communication and gave proper instructions when it came to each step of the eye exam! 100000/100 will be coming back to have Stephanie take care of my needs

My family and I have always had a great experience with Stanton Optical, but this time it was extra amazing. Kaylie was working on Black Friday and she got us in and out within about 5 minutes! My husband's frames had snapped and we couldn't wait the long weekend to fix his glasses. She got him fitted and set, cleaned up the lenses and got us a special deal because of the holidays. She truly has a kind and generous soul. Thank you Kaylie!

Terrible place to make glasses, it's like giving away money because they don't know how to work. I went twice to get the test done and both times they did it wrong. I strained my eyes and what they said was that I had to leave them on for a full week and I left them on and a lump appeared under my eye. I went again and they told me that it wasn't their problem and that they wouldn't refund any money. I don't recommend this place at all.

The staff is statin optical was great. They went above and beyond my expectations. Kaylee was exceptional. She helped me pick up my frames and packaged them in a way that saved me money thanks guys.
