America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Sorry but choose wisely when picking the place for eye exam and glasses. I will say this, Amanda is awesome! But, did my eye exam, waiting for my glasses. They came I couldn't see out of them, blurry and double visioned , they redid my exam. The eye doctor said I'd be good to go. Waited another 2 weeks. Closer this time, but still double vision. Amanda sent them back to have the pupil location set. Not any better after getting them back a 3rd. I did get a refund. But can't use these glasses. A month and half and nothing. Even though I like the staff, I believe I wasn't getting a good eye exam. Now I guess I'll go to Costco .

I had a really good experience! The staff were nice and professional. There were a lot of patients there at the same time as me but the staff were still able to provide me quick and quality service. I had to take all my 4 kids with me but multiple the staff reassured me that it was fine, that my kids weren't a bother, and that they also have kids so they understood my situation. My glasses also arrived sooner than expected!

The staff was pretty unwelcoming and honestly kinda awkward. They were having some technical difficulties, so I wasn't taken into the first exam room until 20 minutes after my appointment. Which I totally get; things are sometimes out of people's control. I however would have appreciated maybe a heads up. Then in the first exam room, the guy didn't really explain at all what he was doing or what the different machines did; it was awkward and weird. Then in the next exam room, it was kind of the same vibe; except it smelled in there. My biggest concern however, was what I would assume is a huge HIPPA violation. The tech was trying to find my info. So in the huge screen in front of me, she typed my name. And it pulls up everyone else in the system with my name, and I can see their DOB. Later, she pulls up and deliberately shows me the schedule of the upcoming days/weeks, in which I can see people's full names and DOB. They were not able to do my appointment because of technical difficulties. Which honestly is fine, because I have very little confidence in this place. Safe to say I won't be rescheduling, and the lack of competence in basic HIPPA and clinical practices is shocking and disappointing.

The staff @ the Pocatello's "AMERICA'S BEST" are very friendly. Not only when you go in to make an appointment BUT there is/was one assistant that went out of her way to help me pick out a frame & still stay within my budget! She is the person with the fiery red/orange hair! Very Good Customer Rapport! She deserves recognition!

Very unhappy with this company. Not only did they not tell me my appointment was going to be conducted via video call with the optometrist, but they also did not tell me that America's Best was out of network with my insurance. Then, to cover the out-of-network charges, they dipped into my contact lens benefit for the year, leaving me with very little to help with the cost of my contacts for the year. I will not be returning for these reasons.

I have been taking my children to America's Best in Pocatello for years. The staff has always been very helpful. They have had one of their doctors remove a piece of plastic from one of my daughter's eyes, extended prescriptions for 2 of my children while they were on their missions, and just recently help me order contacts for my daughter who went to a different location twice, and wanted her to come back a third time. The first time, they didn't have an online doctor available for her scheduled appointment, the second time the did have an online doctor and she was impatient, then gave her a sample and told her she needed to come back, so she walked out of there without a prescription. I have never walked out of America's Best without a prescription and an order placed. They set her up as a new customer, even though she told them she was not. I called that store and they told me there was nothing they could do until the doctor signed off on her prescription, frustrated with all of this I called the Pocatello location, because we live an hour and a half away from Logan. The Pocatello store told me their doctor would be in soon and they would see what he could do for me, they called me back within a couple of hours and now I have been able to order my daughters contacts and she doesn't have to go in a third time. Thank You America's Best Pocatello!

This would most likely be a 1 star review if it wasnt for friendly in-person staff. However, my experience with the doctor's Zoom consultation left much to be desired. It was difficult to feel confident that my vision prescription was properly addressed during the call. Additionally, when I requested a different contact brand under my valid prescription (which was only 6 months old), I was told that I would need to schedule a new vision exam, even though I expressed dissatisfaction with my current brand. The phone representatives were as helpful as company policy allowed, but ultimately, their hands seemed tied by the rules.
