Eyecare of Southeast Idaho - Robert R. Jones MD

I've been seeing Dr. Jones for over 5 years. He's knowledgeable, professional, and capable. Recently, I experienced some complex eye problems and inflammation. Dr. Jones consistently worked me into his schedule and provided relief. A month ago, Dr. Jones found and remedied the issue with my eye. I've never been so impressed and thankful.

My 8 year old got a referral to see Dr. Jones for a possible eye problem. They called me right when they opened to make an appointment. I was able to get an appointment the same day, which is amazing. The receptionist was friendly on the phone and in person. We waited about 20 minutes in the lobby before going back to the room. Then waited maybe 2 minutes before the doctor came in. He was very nice to my son. While my son was there for an eye issue he checked out his vision (because why not) and turns out he needs glasses. He went above and beyond looking at his eyes and ensuring that he was okay. He gave me things to look for and a possible timeline in case he needed seen again. We left in about 45 minutes upon arrival. I was also able to pay right then and there at the end of the appointment.

I waited 40 minutes for my appointment which I find excessive. The receptionist had a very nonchalant manner and I felt she could care less. The room she put me in was dirty, especially the floor where there were large dust balls, mixed with hair, and hair and dust on the stand of the equipment used by the doctor to look into my eyes. When I asked the doctor about something unusual that had happened to my vision (I was seeing black lines on peoples faces when watching TV) he laughed and never answered me. Worse office I have ever been in. I thought I was in a 3rd world country. That office could benefit greatly if they had a tech who could help the doctor "see" how dirty his office is and prepare patients for his arrival, like dilating eyes. Needless to say I won't be returning.

Just left Dr. Jones' office. What a disappointment. This was my first visit and the small waiting room had several people in it who were wearing masks, but the receptionist was not. I asked her why she was not wearing a mask and she told me she didn't want to, she didn't like them. I questioned her about her bad decision, but all she said was that she was healthy and didn't need to wear a mask. I cannot believe that a supposed health professional would not be responsible enough to protect herself and the patients. I did not see the Dr. and will not return to an office that is not looking out for the health of their patients.

He is the best optometrist I have been too. I feel like he really cares whats going on with you. Especially if you have an existing condition.

I showed up on time, then waited 40 minutes to see the doctor. I consider my time as valuable as his. Other than the wait and the exceptionally loud receptionist, I thought the doctor did a good job.

Dr. Robert Jones is an amazing eye surgeon. Highly recommend him and his team. Been a patient for seven years. Thanks
