We have been to multiple eye doctors in Rexburg and Dr. Merrill is our favorite! He is so friendly and kind. My son was nervous about getting contacts and Dr. Merrill was so patient and thorough and really made my son feel comfortable. We also love the front office staff! Everyone is so helpful and kind. Canyon View Eyecare is a clean, comfortable, and welcoming office. The staff (including the front desk) was exceptionally warm and professional. Each staff member took the time to listen and gave clear responses and explanations. Every interaction felt genuine.
They were transparent about fees and pricing. They went above and beyond by handling all my insurance details and benefits for me prior to my appointment.
My experience here was also refreshing because I never felt that I was being upsold or misled in any way.
Finally, I would like to mention that I was invited to bring my young 4 year-old. They had no problem with him joining me. I felt supported, as it can be challenging for mothers to make childcare arrangements.

Everyone was very nice! When I called to see if they took my insurance, they said they did so I scheduled an appointment with them. When I got there and started filling out the papers, this lady came up to me and told me they didn't actually take my insurance because insurance comes in layers and they didn't take what mine went back too. Everyone was really nice about it, but it was upsetting that they couldn't have told me that on the phone when I asked and I could have spared getting my time wasted.

I went here a few years ago and it was a disaster. the staff, including the doctor were not super professional and after leaving i got called to drive back 10 minutes because they did not process my payment correctly when I was there. after all that i ended up getting a stye, which to me means they don't sterilize their equipment religiously, or they just forgot. Just getting around to this review because I couldn't remember the name of the place and I just got an email reminder for the end of the year
