DuPage Optical - Dr. Steve Butzon, Dr. Caroline Cho, Dr. Demetra Arianas, Dr. Cary Herzberg

My family has used Dupage Optical for over a decade. They are a friendly family oriented practice who are welcoming to people of all backgrounds. We go there because we've always liked the service and we trust their professionalism. This weekend two of our grandchildren were taken there for routine visits. The kids are always happy there. We purchased Ray Ban sunglasses for our fifteen year old grandson who has an eye condition. We wanted him in a brand that we knew we could trust for protection and that he would be happy wearing at his high school. They get five stars for taking good care of us for many years.

Extremely satisfying visits. They go on and beyond there responsibilities, explaining all tests, and treating the root cause for my dry eyes symptoms. Kevin was super nice r helping me to find the exact eyeglasses frame that I just broke, saving me so much money, so I do not have to have my glasses replaced. Great team.

I cannot recommend Dr. Caroline Cho highly enough. For years, we struggled with my children's progressive vision issues, and our previous optometrist recommended us to contact Dupage Opticals. Dr. Cho changed everything. She took the time to thoroughly assess both of my kids and, most importantly, were able to successfully create custom Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) lenses. The difference has been nothing short of miraculous. Thanks to her expertise and personalized approach, both of my children have achieved 20/20 vision! This is an outcome we were told might not be possible. The CRT lenses are incredibly effective, providing clear vision during the day without the hassle of daytime contacts or glasses. Dr. Cho and Dr. Herzberg are true pioneers in myopia management.They gave my kids the gift of clear vision!

I did an eye test and spent almost $360 after insurance. Dr. Steve Butzon is good he did eye test and everything. I explained him the real problem that I cannot read the small letters in the computer or in the cards. He said we will make Bifocal glass with more space for the reading side. Then I was waiting for the glasses. every week I call them, and they said will check and call back. Never call me back. I have to go there personally to see what happens to the glass. I asked them if they order glasses from China, and she did not say yes or no. Even if the glasses from China, we should get that within 2 weeks. Anyway, I got the glasses after one month and one week. Unfortunately, it is of no use to me, I cannot read anything with the reading portion, or I should keep the matter so close to my eyes, which I can do even without glass. As I have only 30 days to get this fixed, I tried to make appointment and noticed that they are cancelling which was already available in the website saying Doctor is not available on that day. If the doctor not available on that day, how their website showing he is available on that day. Anyway, now they gave me another appointment on January 12. I hope they will fix the issue, or I will approach Better Business Bureau to solve this issue

They did great with my son so I'm giving three stars! However, I was told I am losing glands have very bad dry eyes. When I asked what I can do, such as eye drops, I was told eye drops are just a bandaid and was told I should come back for an evaluation that would cost $100+ (not covered at all by insurance) and would likely need a heat treatment called Lipiflow ($900 also not covered by insurance). Well according to the brochure Dr. Cho gave me, typical results from that treatment last 3 months. So, instead of doing eye drops because they are a bandaid, I should do that Lipiflow treatment, which is a much more expensive bandaid? Instead, I'm trying blinking exercises, warm compresses and less contact wear, plus eye drops. I can not afford a $900 treatment that would likely need to be repeated at least once a year!

First time coming here as I switched insurances and the whole staff was very friendly and so nice to me and attended me very well! Everyone was very professional and just enjoyed the energy since walking in. Dr. Demetra Arianas was able to fix my issue with my eyesight bothering me and Claudia helped me find the perfect glasses as well! Had a very good first experience! Recommend this location 100%.

Dr. Steve came to our home to evaluate my elderly mother's eyes. He was so kind, gentle, and personable. He gave her a thorough eye exam and feel very confident in the outcome. Highly recommend!
