I decided to go to LensCrafters in Algonquin for my annual eye exam. The equipment looks modern, but I seriously question whether the machines are properly calibrated or whether the staff is fully trained to use them correctly.
After the exam, I ordered a pair of glasses. It took several weeks to receive them, and when I tried them on, everything was blurry I literally could not see properly. They told me the lenses would be redone after arguing with me that that's how is supposed to be!! After waiting several more weeks, I went back to pick them up. The second pair was completely different again, and I became dizzy after just two minutes of wearing them. I was told they would "fix it" once more.
A few more weeks passed. I received a text saying the glasses were ready, but when I arrived, they couldn't even find them. I had to return yet again. At that point, since we agreed to make them suitable just for computer use, I gave up out of frustration and simply took the glasses because I was tired of going back and forth.
Unfortunately, the glasses are still unusable. There is no proper focus no matter how close or far I sit from the computer. The lenses feel like the cheapest possible quality. Honestly, the basic glasses I've purchased at Costco were ten times better -- without all the hassle and wasted time.
As a side note, they also did not get my child's contact lenses right.
I will not be returning and cannot recommend this location.

Fantastic experience ! First time coming to the location, second time going to a Len's Crafter's. The exam was prompt and I was made at ease with all the friendly staff. Very professional and inviting atmosphere. Pat went above and beyond to help me pick a pair of glasses and help me through the checkout process. All in all a wonderful experience and I will be sure to let my friends and family know to come here for their eyewear needs.
Had a good experience there, very quick, I just want to point out a specific employee that made my experience even better! Pat is amazing she was a joy to be around and is hilarious her personality is great and I will be going back in the future to this specific location just because of her. Thank you Pat!
I purchased my glasses in December, and within 30 days I had to bring them back due to a crack in one of the lenses. After the lenses were replaced, another crack appeared in the exact same spot. When I returned to the store and expressed my frustration, the manager said he would replace the lenses free of charge, but he acted as though he was doing me a favor.
The repeated inconvenience of having to come back multiple times for the same issue has been significant, yet the manager showed little concern. He told me he "can't help with my life problems," as if the inconvenience were my fault rather than the result of faulty lenses. He also mentioned that this issue only happens to about 1% of the thousands of glasses sold, implying that the problem was mine--not LensCrafters'.
At no point was there an attempt to offer a partial refund, acknowledge the hassle this has caused, or take responsibility for the repeated manufacturing issue. Considering the circumstances, I expected better customer service and a genuine effort to make the situation right. My wife and kids will not become customers nor will I ever buy another pair from them. There are plenty of competitors that will welcome our business.
Michelle was amazing.
Americas best's customer treatment left a bad taste in my mouth.
So I resorted to coming here for my glasses.
I was immediately greeted at the door by Michelle. She went above and beyond to find the perfect cat eye glasses im looking for. And tried her best to ensure my absolute satisfaction. She definitely needs a raise since she truly cares for the clients! She's a doll. I will definitely bringing my business here!
Dr. Do Jun Pak is super knowledgeable. He gave me several options rather than just giving me a prescription and sending me off to get glasses. I really appreciated his honesty and answering all my questions without rushing.
I came in for eye glasses and sun glasses. The eye glasses are great but Victor flat out lied to me for the sake of commission. I spent a total of $873 on the two pairs. Victor assured me over and over again that the sunglasses were going to be double dipped to be as dark as the ones I already have. It can be done because the proof is on my current pair of sunglasses. I go to pick them up and they're not dark at all. They claim that's the darkest they can go. Why was I so heavily reassured on something that cant be done? Commission. Victor lied his way through my sale so he could get the commission. I absolutely got a refund but im furious because I was so heavily reassured for nothing. I hope your manager sees this and I will be calling when hes in tomorrow.
Nothing short of an amazing experience with Dana & her team. Over this past weekend I had a pretty intense infection &, subsequent, abrasions to my left eye. They were able to schedule an appointment immediately & then a follow-up appointment to ensure that everything was going in the right direction. Dana was genuinely attentive, thorough in her work, & was an absolute pleasure to work with. This type of personalized service is few & far between. I'll certainly be back for future exams, but hopefully under much different circumstances, hehe.
