I had never been here before. But I needed an appointment ASAP after my kitten scratched my eye accidentally. My phone call was answered on the first ring and they were able to see me immediately. (Not something I expected they'd be able to do!) The front desk, pretester, and doctor were all very friendly and helpful. My prescription was sent in and filled before I had even left the building. They were great with the small kids that were there at the same time as me, too. I would highly recommend!

The techs at this office are great! I had one of the arms of my glasses fall off at the worst possible time - the day of a job interview and I was about to leave for a trip. As a new patient walk in, they saw me right away and worked together to replace the arm with a spare one they had that matches really well and feels sturdy. Thank you!

I had a very frustrating and confusing experience at Barrington Eye Care Center. At my first visit, I opted out of the extra eye photos at check-in. The doctor later told me they would only charge me for the photos if something abnormal was found. They did find something and rescheduled me for a second visit for dilation. At that second visit, they took the same photos again after dilation. I was told during my first visit that there would be no copay for the second visit, but I was still charged a copay when I returned. Even with insurance, the total charges were higher than expected, and no one clearly explained what was optional, what would cost extra, or why the billing changed. Between the upselling, repeated testing, and inconsistent billing information, the experience felt more sales-driven than patient-focused. I would not return and would not recommend this office to anyone who expects clear pricing and honest communication.

I do not recommend this optometry shop. The optometrist made a mistake on my prescriptions. I had to suffer dizziness and nausea for two weeks, called them twice, waited two more weeks, they rechecked my vision and changed the prescription to the correct one, without even apology or an explanation. I think to give the correct prescription is the basic of an qualified optometrist. Choose a different shop!
