Complete Family Eyecare of Carbondale

I have been going to Complete Family Eye Care for many years. I've always had great care from the doctors there and the office staff are amazing! Dr. Peper is there now and I've told everyone that will listen to go and see her. I have to give a shout-out to Danielle and Courtney especially... they have helped me select new glasses and answered my questions. Great customer service! Thank you for all that you all do!

I have been coming here since 2018 with no problems, so this is extremely disappointing to write. Recently, they started doing a different test during exams. They do not include this in the price of your exam. They don't even explain that it's an additional cost unless you ask. They just make you sign the form without ever including the actual price. You are also not able to opt out of it. I asked prior, was told the wrong information, so i signed it. Then I got hit with a bill $35 more than I anticipated because of it. The test (it's a new type of dilation test) is good for checking your eye health, sure. However, there is no reason to not include it in exam price if you are FORCING patients to take it. If I am unable to do an exam without it, that means it IS a part of the exam and should be charged as such. I ended up making an appointment to take my family to a different local eye doctor who I told about the situation. They agreed that it was weird because they do the same test and bill the insurance for all of it (not just the bit over the $39 you have to pay in addition to your co-pay, like you all). I'm not sure why this office couldn't bill insurance (especially since no one returned my call to explain it), but it genuinely feels like a way to charge patients extra, especially since insurance likely would have paid less for the service.

Dr.Peper is amazing!! So personable and willing to answer any and all questions without judgement. The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly!

I had a piece of metal stuck in my eye, and I called complete family eyecare of Carbondale and they got me right in even being a new patient. They were able to get the small piece of debris out of my eye pain-free. I was in and out in less than an hour. I would recommend them to anyone. And the staff was very nice and knowledgeable.

I have been to Complete Family Eye Care three times, and I consistently get the best eye exam I have ever had. They have the Optos machine that takes a picture of your retina, so you don't need to be dilated. The staff members are polite, helpful and efficient. Dr Peper is very knowledgeable and personable. She patiently explains the results of my exam and answered all my questions. The individual attention she provides far exceeds her competitors.

Very pleased with the folks here and their selection of eyewear. Have had some less than ideal experiences with a certain other eye care place in town, and am really happy to find better service and offerings here!

I had issues seeing and my old optician couldn't seem to get my prescription correct. I decided to try this place on a recommendation of a friend. The staff was so friendly and helpful and Dr Peper was amazing. That night on the drive home, I could see better than I have for years! I highly recommend and it was well worth my driving an hour. I will be back and will be bringing my entire family.

This past weekend I was visiting the Carbondale area and I happened to forgot my contact lenses six hours to the north. In a panic I called several other eye doctors, all of which refused to help. Fortunately, I found Complete Family Eyecare. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and understanding of my predicament. Without hesitation, they provided me with a sample pair of lenses to get me through the weekend. Without their help, I'm not certain how I would have made it through the weekend. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism. If you're looking for an eye doctor who genuinely cares about their patients, look no further!
