Visionworks Prairie Crossings

I cannot stress enough how unbelievably disappointing and downright unprofessional this location is. I scheduled simple kindergarten vision exams for my 5-year-old twin boys, provided all their information up front, received multiple confirmations, AND even got a phone call the night before where I explicitly explained they were 5-year-old twins. I was assured--verbatim--"we can accommodate them." That was a lie. We arrived on time, checked in, waited patiently... and then the disaster began. The employee who took us back didn't even bother to hide her attitude. The very first thing out of her mouth was, "Does he even know his letters?" Excuse me? He's five years old. Yes, he knows his letters, but like any kindergartener, he may need a second to respond. Instead of working with him (you know, the bare minimum for someone whose job is to examine children's eyes), she immediately hinted he'd "probably need a pediatric specialist," something that would've been EXTREMELY helpful to mention before the appointment--not after wasting our time. During the pre-exam, she repeatedly complained that "he keeps moving his eyes." He's FIVE. You're the trained professional--maybe guide him? I even asked, "What do you want him to do?" and she replied, "Stare at the house image." I told my son exactly that, he did it perfectly, and before I could even blink she abruptly stopped the exam, walked out, and came back with a referral card. No attempt to continue. No effort. No patience. She had clearly made up her mind before she even tried. She didn't even bother examining my other son. Just shut everything down. This was a complete and total waste of time, and an embarrassment for a company that claims to serve families. If VisionWorks cannot handle a basic vision exam for a 5-year-old--after confirming multiple times that they could--they should say so upfront instead of stringing parents along. I strongly advise ANY parent with children under 10 to avoid this location entirely. They are unprepared, unprofessional, and absolutely incapable of accommodating even the most standard pediatric needs. What a joke.

The staff is amazing, super helpful and friendly environment. The doctor was very patient, with my son and very professional. I definitely highly recommend this Visionworks location.

We went in to pick out new frames for my 66 year-old brother and there were two younger women working the Service desk. One was a sweet as can be and the other, who happened to take care of us, should find another position where she could be happier. She was the most unpleasant person working in a service industry I've ever encountered. Yes we did order glasses. I can only hope the job she does is better than her attitude.

I spoke to Celia over the phone who says she is the manager to inquire about exam prices. She claims all their exams include the retina imaging so it starts at $104. Anywhere else this is an extra and optional service. As someone who has worked in this industry and goes annually this sounded off. I called another Visionworks nearby who confirmed this indeed is an additional service. Dishonest location.

Experience with Olivia at Prairie Crossings in Frankfort was awesome! She was very patient, personable, and professional. She's definitely an asset to this store!! My brother is legally blind and she was so helpful.

kind, friendly, prompt members! i made an appointment ahead of time (they do take walk ins, too). everyone was nice and informative! they have a nice selection of glasses and sunglasses. dr. lisa is awesome!

Emily and team at the new Prairie Crossings are so amazing! extremely professional staff, beautiful store, and thorough prompt appointments. I'll never go anywhere else for my eyewear needs again!

The staff was super helpful in making sure I was getting the best price for my glasses. They looked up my coverage and explained my benefits to me. I would definitely recommend visiting VisionWorks for your eye doctor and glasses needs.
