Target Optical

This is hands down the best optometry office I have ever visited. My little brother and I both had our appointments here and I was overall highly satisfied with the service we were provided. Aurora took care of my pretesting, she took the time to go over my insurance coverage for the visit which I appreciated. She was very patient with my little brother explaining what each machine did and letting him feel the puff of air on his hand for the pressure check to make him less scared. My exam was handled by Dr Rodriguez, she was so kind and knowledgeable. I had multiple questions regarding seeing floaters as well as the complexity of my younger brother's vision issues and by the end of my visit I felt very confident about how my questions were answered. I was helped by Yvette while purchasing glasses and she was amazing making sure I was getting the best deal! She was also highly knowledgeable on the specifications of frames and glasses and helped me pick a pair I could feel confident in. The whole process was phenomenal and I will definitely be going back to them for my next visit.

I have been going to Target Optical in Lemont for years, because the optometrist and the back office people who perform the vision tests have been excellent. I have decided that after numerous negative experiences with the front area personnel, I will be finding another establishment that appreciates my business. On one occasion, the wrong contact prescription was mailed to me, and the woman I dealt with when I went in with an open box (didn't know it was wrong until I couldn't see) was extremely rude and acted like it was my fault. My only regret is that I didn't get her name. Same woman would not give me my PD number for glasses, and when I said I was done with Target Optical because of her attitude, she said okay, that's fine. At my last appointment, a different girl was checking me in, and did not engage with me at all. I told her my name and appointment time, she just typed and then sat in her chair and I wasn't sure if I was checked in or not. No interaction whatsoever. Having worked in customer service for many years, I understand how working with the public can be challenging and always try to be pleasant and patient as a customer, but this staff just seems to be mailing it in.

This is the second time I've gone there and walked right up around 2 and the employee got up and said sorry, it's lunchtime and closed the gate. Never asked what I needed (just dropping off a pair I needed fixed). There are 2 employees there, why do they both have to go to lunch and shut the business down at 2pm in the afternoon and be rude about it on top of it. I drove a half hour to get there, have spent over $600 dollars the last time I was there and all I got was we're closing for lunch. This happened on Jan 2, 2026 at 2 pm so maybe management can figure out who it was. Unreal. You lost a customer for sure!!

I was greeted right away. Yvette helped me with picking out my glasses and walked me through my insurance. I am happy I took my prescription for glasses here. Very reasonable priced!

Great and real friendly service by Dr. Rodriquez performing the eye exam, Aurora, the Technician, and Lisa setting me up with glasses. I highly recommend this place for all your eye care!

I can be a little indecisive when it comes to picking glasses, but Yvette went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable with my choice. She took the time to show me numerous options, explain the differences, and never made me feel rushed. Her knowledge and kindness truly stood out. In the end, I left feeling confident and excited about my choice. Yvette was amazing, and Target Optical is lucky to have her. The eye exam was professional and thorough. The person assisting me with ordering contacts was great. She was able to optimize my insurance benefits and rebates offered. Very helpful!
