Brian Jacobs, MD

I am very pleased with Dr Jacobs, I have been seeing him for years. He has done my catarac surgeries with very positive results. I would recommend him for your eye specialist.

I had 2 glaucoma surgeries with Dr. Jacobs, for my left eye, the trabeculectomy was done poorly, the left eye pressure drop too low and may cause further damages, it also makes my cataract procedure much more complicated. For my right eye, Dr. Jacobs suggested to take Micro Pulse Laser treatment for my glaucoma, it failed again, didn't improve anything.

Arrived with Mother at 1:10 for 1:15 appt. As of 2:15, still not in to see Dr. Tech who did preliminary machine checks was rude and impatient about the fact that she's in a wheelchair and that made his job harder. Kept making heavy sighs because she couldn't transfer into their chairs. When she needed to use the bathroom, he was annoyed, and then told us we had to go out into the main building. She's on a portable oxygen generator, and it only has a 2 hour battery... We're running, out soon and asked if we could see the Dr soon. No response. Will definitely look for other Drs. Not wheelchair or handicap friendly!

Dr Jacobs got me into his schedule quickly because I had a minor problem with one eye, and I really appreciated his thorough attention and helpful advice.

I have been seeing Dr. Jacobs for 10+ years and he has always done a great job answering my questions and giving me a really thorough exam. Not only is Dr. Jacobs great but the staff at NSCG is unlike any other office out there! They are so kind and accommodating! I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jacobs!

Dr.Jacobs is my doctor for 6+ years. I like that he really cares about his patients, always takes the time and explain/answer all of my questions. When I have a problem that really concerns me he would see me the same day. Dr.Jacobs is a great doctor, that's why I trust him with my vision.

I am writing this on behalf of my father. He went to see Dr. Jacobs last year. After going through several different tests, Dr. Jacobs determined my father did NOT have cataracts (or glaucoma). He told my father he needed glasses that were $600+ (and that they would help him "A LITTLE")as well he needed surgery to have his eyelids lifted(he suggested a doctor that was supposed to be located in Libertyville, but was actually in Skokie.. (I'm wondering if there isn't some kind of kick back?) Well, here we are.. 10 months later. My dad's vision is worse, so we went to another eye doctor who said he has very dense CATARACTS. To say we were shocked was an understatement! I asked the doctor if the cataracts were something that could have formed in the last 10 months, because Dr. Jacobs said he didn't have cataracts.. that his eyes looked good. The Doctor today said "No, the density of the cataracts, as well as the color show they have been there for quite some time." So, my father is out of a lot of money, had a procedure that he didn't need, and hasn't been able to see much for the last 10 months. To say we are angry us an UNDERSTATEMENT!
