Progressive Eye Care

I've been a patient of Dr. Davis for 15+ years. I'm also a retired nurse, so I have experienced great & not so great doctors. Dr. Davis is patient, kind, caring & explains what a patient needs. She always answers any questions you have. Her staff are professional & kind. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs an eye specialist in her areas of practice. She is wonderful with adults & children.

Dr. Davis saved our son. He's a complex medical kid, 4yr old. She is very intelligent and see's things that others have missed. Give her all the info on your child and she will make sure they are taken care of.

I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt because I really like Dr. Davis and her clinical staff. However, the front office staff...umm...isn't great. It takes months to get an appointment and the last time I had one for my daughter I was told as I entered the office that I need a referral from our doctor to be seen (even though we've been seeing Dr. Davis for months). I questioned this, for fear my daughter would have to wait another two months to be seen. Annoyed, the woman at the desk pointed to the sign TAPED TO THE FRONT DOOR saying my insurance will now require referrals for every visit. No courtesy phone call to let me know to anticipate this requirement - just a put-out woman whose job it is to manage customers implying I'm the imbecile for taking time off work, pulling my daughter out of school, and not using my space time vortex to see the sign TAPED TO THE FRONT DOOR. So, following appointment I again take off work and called our doctor to make the referral for my daughter's appointment to be told that our insurance dropped Dr. Davis. Again, I was treated as the moron I am for not using my crystal ball to anticipate this, especially after having received confirmation texts for the appointment. Unless you are a wizard with psychic powers that doesn't mind long waits, scarce availability for appointments, and incredibly judgmental/unhelpful office staff, I might encourage you to seek elsewhere.

Horrible customer service. Called to schedule with Dr. Davis a few months ago and they said my insurance would cover as long as my neurosurgeon put in the referral. I had to call the office to make sure the referral was good and they told me the day before my appt (which I had to wait a month and a half for) that insurance won't cover it. Then they wouldn't let me schedule another appointment until I had me new insurance information. Fine. I called a few days after my new insurance was effective to make another appointment and I have yet to get a call back. It's been close to a week now. I received a call back from Northwestern the same day.

Dr. Davis is thorough and professional. The office staff is very helpful and accommodating. I've gone here for many years and I've always been well cared for. If you need eye care, this is the place to receive the best.

DO NOT go here unless you have ALL DAY to waste. 10am appointment, still not seen by 10:30am, asked when will my daughter be seen and I get told another 20 minutes. So hopefully will FINALLY be seen 50 minutes AFTER her original appointment time and we were 5 minutes EARLY. Absolutely ridiculous, disgusting disregard for patients time and I'm NEVER coming back here EVER AGAIN!!!!

Won't give P.D. after paying for eye exam and also paying for other eye treatment that was supposed be apart of the exam. I was that treatment or test supposed to be paid because insurance won't cover it. Then why tell me it is apart treatment then.The people try to get me comeback when covid-19 was still new. I told one of lady desk check in clients did not understand no for they would give me my P.D. (Pupil distance). She told does not know what that is. I was like what? and told what it is and she still can't give me that. I told her that I do not need another appointment I just need exam and get glasses. Hey wanted me to come back in 3 weeks and a lot lock downs we're going on. Their guy was not there to do his job for supposedly he was off. The place here has a team not one of them has another person take his place temporarily to help the client pick out glasses. She told if I come back with the bill I paid I could get discount. I told her no for I needed glasses pick out today my eyes won't stop hurting. The Eye doctor did good but staff stink and bad owner running the business. I know I needed updated glasses and not long ride for company that just want my money when its patient care first and not treat them like a client number and lie about uncovered treatments or test. I was told by one of the assistant there that it was needed when it was in fact not. The goal was to get more money. I went somewhere else paid for glasses and got my P.D. Go somewhere else. Come here for specialist and don't glasses here for they won't give P.D. even after paying for test exam and treatment. Why should I buy glasses from you if you got paid already and won't give me my P.D. 2 stars for doctor and zero for the rest. This place will give you run around for what you already paid for. Research for what a P.D. Is and you will see why someplace's won't give it to you willingly. I thought there are laws for holding for paid legal medical information for the patient. Oh I'm sorry a numbered client to them.

My 5 year old did amazing at his visit today! The staff made his experience comfortable and at ease. Wonderful staff all around!!
