Vision One Lasik Center

Ooof. I waited until the end for this review. Unfortunately the end came without resolution. I got lasik on 11/15/2024. I followed every instruction and did my follow ups. Each follow up I was told "it will get better". I told the doc that I could not see well and my eyes were still uncomfortable every day (using hundreds of dollars worth of eye drops). Things were blurry and they kept saying "well it's better than it was!". Not even close to how I could see with my glasses previously. After 5 follow ups, I was told "you can see if they will do an enhancement or just live with it". Thankfully I did the enhancement on my right eye because it was still bad. I was told that my left "has a small prescription" and that I could choose for them to try it or not. I was terrified so I elected to only do the right eye. After the enhancement, I could see (decently, still not well yet, but for sure better than it was) and my eye discomfort was finally solved. After a few weeks, I realized that my left eye was a lot worse and I couldn't tell before because my right eye was so bad. I went back for a follow up and was told the same "you can live with it or see if they will do an enhancement". I went for the enhancement appointment and told the surgeon that things were still blurry with my left eye. I did the "eye test" and was able to guess 3 of the letters correct so I was told that "the prescription in your left eye is too small to fix". The 20/20 line was so blurry and I squinted to try to discern letters. I could not see any of them clearly. On top of not being able to see well, my left eye still has daily discomfort. It's been 13 months and I regret my decision to do lasik every day.

Excellent job. Dr. Burger did my surgery. At 20/20 after years of astigmatism. I paid a little more than expected due to my astigmatism, but it was worth every penny. Would recommend this practice to anyone considering Lasik.

I don't know how this place only have 4.7 star reviews... The reviews should be thru the roof!!! This is the BEST place on planet earth that I've been. The procedure was quick and painless. I'm not just saying this to make the company sound good but I'm saying it because it's the honest truth!!! Thanks so much Vision One

The main motive at this practice is money, that is why Dr. Brand has had problems keeping his license with the state of Illinois. The attached receipt proves that I did have Lasik here, my problem is it cost me another 50K+ out of pocket to correct a huge mistake that Martin Burger made, cornea specialists are big money. I ended up with bad mono-vision but there were reviews where people had bad flaps that were half cut, you don't see that with laser cut flaps and other assorted foul ups. My "surgery" is a 17 year nightmare and by far the WORST decision I have ever made in my life. When I had my surgery I thought Brand was legitimate but I was wrong. William Brand quickly kicked me to the curb after I sought a 2nd opinion and the first of many cornea specialists was in shock at what Vision One had done to my corneas. You get what you pay for but nobody should go through what I went through. I trusted William Brand and met Martin Burger once and that was a very bad decision on my part. Do Not trust these people, they keep having bad reviews removed. Basically they mess up a lot but pay to have the fake good reviews posted but they remove bad reviews, even ones with receipts for Lasik here. In 17 years they have had about 50 bad reviews removed, most of them were people who were harmed for life. That is why I keep posting this review, Vision One maimed me 17 years ago and then blew me off.

I recently underwent LASIK eye surgery, and the results have been life-changing. The procedure itself was surprisingly quick and painless. The entire process took less than 15 minutes, and the staff made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Highly recommended!

Dr Brand had done a great job. I have perfect vision now). Appreciate the detailed explanation throughout this process. Laser treatment was quick and seamless, recovery lasted one week and the next day after surgery I was ready to continue with my usual routine. I will recommend this place to all my friends and family.

I had such a good experience here and what a great price! The staff was very nice too! The surgery itself was done in an assembly line of sorts with a group of us being examined and operated on one after another. I thought this approach would feel impersonal and scary but it turned out to be great to have a group of people to talk to and experience it with. This made me feel less anxious. I would definitely recommend coming over some high priced place, it's totally worth every penny and then some.

Lasik surgery is a modern miracle! Had a free estimate and within two weeks got lasered. Price was good. Slight discomfort during the very short procedure but nothing to worry about.. especially since I had 20/20 vision within 24 hours.
