I wanted to take a moment to recognize Maddie for the outstanding service she provided during my visit. Maddie went above and beyond to make sure I received the best price possible. She took the time to carefully review my options and made sure I was able to take advantage of a rebate that saved me additional money. Her attention to those details really stood out. What impressed me most was how much she genuinely seemed to care about helping me. She handled everything efficiently and thoughtfully, even before my exam was finished. She didn't rush through the process and made sure everything was explained clearly. That level of care made the experience feel personal and showed a real commitment to great customer service. The Machesney Park store is awesome. I first booked an appointment with E. Stare at store. But after arriving they wanted me to sign a waiver, because the Rockford location uses doctors from unknown locations remotely on a computer. I was not made aware of this untill I arrived for my appointment. I'm not signing a waiver to give up my rights or remedies, for when this improper process goes wrong. So I left and called the Machesney location. Unfortunately they were booked up for the day. I had explained to them the trouble with the Rockford location. To my surprise about 10 minutes later, I received a call back from the Machesney location, they said that they could squeeze me in for today. This was great news. Wow, the whole staff was amazing. They got me right in and I was only there for 40 minutes start to finish. They went over and above to fix the issue that the Rockford location caused by not being transparent about using doctors on computers from unknown locations. 5 STARS fro Machesney Park.........

I have been going to America's Best for over 10 years. After today I will not be going back. The special was two pair of progressives for 198.00. Since I will be seeing my optamoligist in a few days they didn't do the whole exam. When it came time for the glasses I had decided I wasn't going to get all the coatings I usually do but due to budget and no insurance I decided I would leave some off. So for thinner glass and scratch coating and 10 percent off the glasses were still going to be 334.00 per pair. I left and will take the prescription elsewhere. Also, will start going to my my optamolgist for 39.99 instead of the 69.99 I was charged.

My husband and I both had exams done, and were first time customers at Americas Best. Aside from running about 20 minutes behind, the actual exam went fines Our issue was with checkout. We had planned to both purchase glasses and contacts. The girl we were dealing with first asked another associate if he would handle our checkout but he was already with a customer and stated he was done in 5 minutes. Our associate was visibly annoyed by this and rolled her eyes. We spent 45 minutes talking to her and were only able to get 1 pair of glasses ordered. We had to ask numerous times for a trial pair of contacts for my husband so he could actually see to pick out glasses, And there were multiple eye rolls at this request, even though we were told he could get the trial pair since he had to take his out for the exam. She repeatedly said she did not know how to enter and run our insurance, eyemed, And made multiple phone calls and just kept saying she didn't know how to do it. She was very rude throughout the entire interaction and we finally said just order the one pair of glasses and be done for the night because we had already been there for over two hours. She got my glasses entered and rudely asked. What do you want to do with your glasses? I asked what she meant, and she very quickly rattled off any additions that we could make to the lenses without talking about what they would be price ranges no further information was given, And it took me a moment to respond and she just said OK we'll go with the plastic frames and put that in. We ended up leaving very dissatisfied, and actually stopped at lens crafters on our way home and were able to get glasses and contacts ordered for us both within 20 minutes s When I called to cancel my glasses order there was no question as to why, or any attempt to rectify. This was by far the worst experience we've ever had trying to get glasses ordered and we will not be returning to Americas Best.

Quick and friendly staff. Doctor is very knowledgeable about her profession. Affordable for glasses and contacts plus exams. Quick turnaround time for getting orders in.

Maddie explained all options and helped guide me through the process of choosing the product and the plan. When I went to pick up my glasses, Maddie was the person for adjusting and cleaning then. She made sure that I was happy. This woman was so kind and helpful. I hope she's here next year.

After talking to the lady in the front, she looked up my insurance and told me I had an allowance for frames, pointing me in the direction of those within my allowance. However, I picked some that were above my allowance, so I would have to pay the difference. When it is time to check out, I am then told that, since it was over the allowable amount, I will only get a percentage off. I figured, what the heck, pay for it then call Insurance to find out what is wrong. I spoke with my insurance company, and they then contacted the store, only to be informed that since I did not purchase lenses at the same time, the allowance for frames would not be honored, as this is an America's Best policy. Why pay for insurance when the store can decide which parts of the insurance they are willing to follow? Last time I checked, Lenses and Frames have different allowance amounts. (also verified with the insurance company) America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, just admit you messed up and refund me my money.

Maddie was great to work with. She took a lot of time to help me as a first timer. I was lost and she took the time to help narrow things down for me. Keep up the good work.
