Justin was so helpful and personable. The best experience I have had at the eye doctor. I was a tad hesitant about the remote doctor at first but I think he was more thorough about my exam then an In person doctor. I'm not sure of the name of the drs. Assistant that did my tests but she was so kind and informative. 10/10 experience. Will be back again.

I am not happy with the way they conduct business at Machesney Park, Illinois LensCrafters. Two years in a row (previous 2 years) I was told that they called me to let me know my glasses were ready but no one ever did. A few weeks ago I scheduled an appointment for today as they said to use this year insurance before end of year. They called yesterday and left a voice mail to confirm my appointment. I called today before coming to see if I could reschedule because of a migraine headache I was having. They didn't have anything for at least a week so I made it there just to find out that my insurance won't cover it today and I would have to come back in 2 days to get it covered. The person claimed they "called" me to let me know. We checked they have correct phone number and they do since I got a voice mail about confirming my appointment. They don't call. They just say they do so they are not responsible for messing you up; they don't apologize either. Very condescending customer service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Love LensCrafters! Professional yet personable and friendly, efficient without feeling rushed or pressured... through and through a great experience. And they know glasses adjustments... I don't go anywhere else to get my glasses adjusted. Thank you, LensCrafters!

The salesperson was very courteous and helpful. She assisted me in finding just the right frames and the correct lens I needed. I would definitely shop here again for my future eyewear needs.

Today, I gained deep knowledge into the operations practices of this LensCrafters, and their employees disclosed that it is their regular practice to cancel people's appointments, utilizing deceptive practices to get people in the door. Upon arrival, I learned that my remote Dr appointment would not but fulfilled, due to the eye condition I had previously disclosed. This condition requires an in person doctor. On the phone in my confirmation, it was mentioned that this would be a remote appointment, and I confirmed I would still be able to be seen regardless of my condition, which they assured me was fine. When I was at the store for my appointment, there was another individual that was also being denied their scheduled appointment. They also had a condition that they were emphatic they had called ahead about, and confirmed they would still be able to be seen. While waiting to find out if my appointment would be held or not, the individuals helping had a conversation surrounding the frequency in which people are coming to their appointments and getting denied. They stated that "the new manager says 'tell them if they have eyes they'll be seen"' and "he's not really the manager" This leads be to believe that it is this LensCrafters business imperative to deceive their customers. I feel sorry for the floor level employees who bear the brunt of the poor management practices of this business, and implore the "non manager" to reach out and discuss business impacts.

For starters, I have never entered a LensCrafters until today. Last night (Friday) I was laying in bed with my dog. I set my glasses aside and forgot about them in my bed and accidentally fell asleep. Over the night, I rolled over onto them and bent them out of shape. I walked into a LensCrafters at 5:10PM on a Saturday, never having been a customer prior, to get my glasses adjusted. By 5:16 PM, I was out of the door with my glasses adjusted perfectly. I really needed them adjusted for work tomorrow, and my typical office is closed on weekends. My next visit to an eyecare establishment will definitely be here. The overall scene was great. Two associates we're working with customers, who all seemed happy as well.

Terrible condescending service. Took a month to get trial contacts and refused to order contacts without another doctor visit. Recommend using Shopko or America's Best.

I had a really frustrating experience picking up my glasses at LensCrafters in Machesney Park. This occurred on July 17th. When I got there, I let the associate know I was there to pick up my glasses. Instead of walking me to a table to try them on and check the fit, like I've always experienced in the past and like I've seen other customers receive, he just handed them to me at the register. I asked if we were going to check the fit and make any necessary adjustments, and he said, "Oh yeah," but still refused to give me a proper fitting at a table. I even told him I didn't mind waiting for a table or for the woman who originally helped me, but he kept insisting we could "just do it here" using the wall mirror. He roughly adjusted my glasses with his hands, no tools, and when I expressed concern that they could break, he completely dismissed it. I asked if that was really how they adjust glasses, and he ignored me at first. When I asked again, he raised his voice and said that's how they do it. His tone the entire time was rude and unprofessional, and it felt like he didn't want to help me at all. To make it worse, he didn't even check to see if my transitions lenses were correct. I had to bring it up, and he looked at the wrong paperwork until the other associate, who was much more kind and helpful, stepped in and pointed out the correct information. What really bothers me is that every other customer I've seen at this location has been seated, properly fitted, and treated with care. But for some reason, that didn't happen with me. I don't know if it was personal, biased, or if this is how he treats everyone, but the experience made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable. I usually expect much better service from LensCrafters.
