The Eye Doc

This office does not prefer public aid patients and it shows. The receptionist is very rude if you have public aid you feel like a burden. If your child misses an appointment ever even one time a year ago , they won't schedule your child again. When you ask to speak to the doctor about the situation and apologize and explain why your child missed last year (because your mom was dying of cancer) she proceeds to be rude and say that my brother has a bill he owes from 9 years ago so somehow that had something to do with my child getting an eye exam( this wasn't brought up last time we were in, and my brother has his own address) Basically if you don't have private insurance you are treated as less than! Also the patience with children is very minimal!

I will say that the doctor is extremely helpful, articulate, and overall a pleasure to work with. However, I would rate the receptionist, Jamie, much lower. Her tone was consistently dismissive, and her customer service skills were poor. Her behavior was unprofessional enough that I am now considering seeking care elsewhere.

DO NOT schedule an appointment here, The staff was very rude while I was trying to make an appointment, their demeanor was very unprofessional, trashy and tacky. Once I told them what type of insurance my kids have, (which is medicaid) it seems like the lady really started to talk to me like she was my master or something. I don't tolerate any form of disrespect from no one!! And It makes you wonder what would they try to do to your kids, if they talk to you over the phone like you're not a human being. PLEASE DON'T SCHEDULE HERE!

Excellent eye care, The doctor is knowledgeable and affordable. In my opinion so far, I have received excellent care and I have been coming to this establish for the past four years.

Excellent team. They are patient with children and look for alternatives to satisfy their preferences. My nine-year-old daughter wanted purple glasses, and Jammie did everything possible to please her, even after she had tried on more than ten frames. At the end, they explained my benefits, how to use them in the best way, and answered all my questions in a friendly and kind manner. Shanna at the front desk is very attentive and respectful. The doctor is lovely and extremely patient with children.

I had the most wonderful visit with my son's at the eye doctor in midlothian..they are so pleasant and show so much concern for our well being as far as glasses go...I would recommend them to everyone!!! Not to mention that they take medicaid-(countycare).

This place is great. They were able to see my 4 year old who really doesn't speak much and gets nervous in new areas but the dr was very good with him. She and her staff are very knowledgeable when it comes to picking out frames. I really liked how she attended my son and made him feel good. Glasses came in super fast as well. Highly recommend this place.

Dr. Lauren and Jamie are the best! Completely professional and friendly. I will recommend this office to everyone I know
