I take my mom to the Retina institute in Mt. Vernon Illinois they are wonderful. My mom gets shots in her eyes every 10 weeks and most of the time she doesn't even feel it. She sees Dr. Blinder and he is wonderful, all the assistants from the time you come in the door until you leave are wonder very caring and compassionate a great team. Thank you for everything you do.

I've been getting injections in both eyes for macula degeneration since 2014. My doctor is Dr. Blinder, who by the way is awesome, in Dr Blinders absence on January 3,2023 I had Dr. Smith to administer the injections and he too was very good. In the 8 and half years that I've been going my experiences have all been very positive and I've never had a problem with the injections. The staff is excellent and continually ask if you're ok..My family has a long history with The Retina Institute as our mother had macula degeneration and we feel she was a trail blazer for the treatments that we are receiving today. We were told early on that this could be hereditary and out of 7 children I have it and my youngest brother has it, so we are thankful for all the progress that has been made.
