Northwestern Medicine Ophthalmology Naperville

Very thorough, every room has an expert at that equipment and they took my grandma in right at her appt. Time. Shout out to the puff machine which didnt hurt her at all great technology upgrade worth the appt.

I went in to get my eyes checked for the first time in decades. Only one of my concerns were addressed. The doctor got overly focused on the need for surgery and forgot everything else. She also referred to my significant other as the "peanut gallery". Will not be following up with this doctor and will be going someplace else for the surgery.

My family doctor said I needed a surgeon to repair an entropion. I went there and she did a eyechart,glocoma test and slitlamp exam. Since it was not an emergancy and I was leaving for a 5 month road trip,she advised waiting until I got back. When I called she advised a repeat exam since it had been 5 months (which is understandable). I then had the same exam and was told to come back the next business day for another idenical exam( same eyechart exam,glocoma test and slitlap exam) when I called for the surgery appointment I was told I needed a fourth exam. When I refused I got a very rude call 2 days later. I have paid for the first 2 presurgical exams and they have sent me to collections for third. I called Northwestern who told me to call their office and ask for patient relations. When I did this I got an answering machine.

Ok so I had a stye under my eyelid that became very bothersome. While at work I was able to secure a same day appt with Dr Michelle Andreoli in the Ophthalmology dept... My first encounter was with the customer care rep at the check in desk.. Her name was Liz. Liz was very personable. After checking me in, I waited for a few mins and was taken back by Elaine, the Ophthalmology tech. I received the absolute best eye exam ever... It was very thorough, everything was santized, it didn't take long, nor did I have to wait long. After my eye pressure was checked, and my vision tested, my eyes were dilated.... I was not expecting this Royal treatment... Elaine also added a little humor to the exam which took my mind off the issue I was having with my eye. The Bible says laughter is good medicine. And its true! And during this visit thats exactly what I received. I really thought the Dr was gonna just shine a light in my eye, give me some meds & send Me on my way... But nope, these medical professionals here really cared. So just when I thought all this wonderful pampering was over, in walks the most gracious Dr I've ever met, besides my primary care Dr at Northwestern of course. Her name is Dr Michelle Andreoli. Dr Andreoli took great care of me. She examed my eyes further after the dilation. She told me what the issue was, she thoroughly discussed the treatment plan with me & quickly precribed meds . She also let me kno if I needed anythg, or if the condition hadnt changed I could contact her at anytime. I thought to myself Wow thats the first time I've heard that from a Dr in a lonnng time. After my initial visit I indeed needed to message her on the NM App & she responded. I had a follow up appt and received the same excellent care as the 1st visit. So if you're looking for great eye care and an awesome group of medical professionals, the Ophthalmology care team at Northwestern Medicine on Raymond Drive in Naperville is where you should go. Ive been a patient with Northwestern Medicine for 32 years and counting, care like this will always make Northwestern my #1 choice... I appreciate you all ... GOD bless.
