Dr. Campbell is simply the best! I will be the first to admit that the location and office can be a bit underwhelming, however, Dr. Campbell MORE than makes up for all of it! He is patient, inviting, engaging, thorough, and is simply amazing at working with kids! My son is legitimately ecstatic whenever we tell him we have scheduled him a visit and I would not consider taking him anywhere else! I have NEVER felt rushed or like a name and a number to Dr. Campbell or his staff. Everyone genuinely goes out of their way to make your child feel special and what more can a parent ask for? Hands down the best!

Great place, friendly doctors, very detailed exams. They also do therapy for eyes. Glasses come pretty fast.

I am utterly appalled by the abysmal service and lack of professionalism exhibited by this optometry office. My child's father and I experience, spanning from initial consultations to unresolved billing issues, has been nothing short of a nightmare. In the spring of last year, we entrusted this office with our child's eye care needs, scheduling an appointment with Dr. Marini. Following a comprehensive examination, it was determined that vision therapy was necessary. We promptly provided all required insurance information and arranged for therapy sessions at the Palos Heights location, scheduled in blocks of eight due to their purportedly busy calendar. Throughout the therapy period, which extended until October, we diligently attended sessions, alternating between parents, and ensured that all prescribed homework exercises were completed. At no point during this time were we informed of any outstanding balances. It wasn't until I proactively contacted the office to schedule additional therapy sessions that I was blindsided by the revelation of a $2,000 debt. The receptionist nonchalantly mentioned this substantial amount, leaving me utterly floored. Upon further inquiry, I was directed to Barb in the billing department, who admitted that we were not the only family facing such issues. She attributed the oversight to a transition from an old billing system to a new one, resulting in widespread billing discrepancies. This explanation, however, does not excuse the office's failure to communicate the accumulating charges, especially when services continued unabated, allowing the balance to balloon to such an exorbitant amount. To exacerbate matters, in February of this year, my son's eyeglasses--purchased from this very store--suffered a broken temple. Given that his prescription was still valid until mid-March 2025, I scheduled an eye exam to expedite the replacement of his glasses. However, Barb contacted me to assert that they would refuse service due to the outstanding balance, despite our adherence to a payment plan. Her demeanor during this conversation was nothing short of reprehensible--disrespectful, condescending, and utterly unprofessional. I had to remind her to maintain professionalism and common decency during our exchange. Despite my requests for Dr. Campbell or Dr. Marini to address these concerns, I received no communication from either. Their silence speaks volumes about the disregard this office has for its patients. Compounding my frustration, I discovered that my child's father had received the billing statements but failed to communicate this to me. While I hold him accountable for this lapse, it does not absolve the optometry office of their responsibility to inform both guardians, especially when contact information for both was provided. Having worked in a medical office, I am acutely aware that many practices implement policies requiring patients with outstanding balances above a certain threshold to settle their debts before scheduling new appointments. This office, however, lacked such a policy at the time, allowing our balance to escalate unchecked. Adding insult to injury, my son was deeply upset that he never got the chance to say goodbye to his vision therapist, Kathy--who he absolutely adored and who had helped him tremendously. It breaks my heart that he wasn't given the opportunity to thank her personally for all her efforts. I implore anyone seeking vision therapy or optometry services to steer clear of this establishment. There are numerous other practices that prioritize patient care, maintain transparent billing practices, and uphold the professionalism that every patient deserves.

Dr. Campbell is truly so wonderful! I wish all families could have the same experience we did today with our little guy. Dr. Campbell is patient, thorough, and so approachable. The office staff was so stellar as well! We couldn't recommend this practice more.

I couldn't be more humbled and appreciative of my son's experience with Dr. Marini, Dr. Campbell and Julie!!!!! What a area of expertise that I had no idea existed with my son's diagnosis of convergence insufficiency and saccadic dysfunction. What a Blessing to have had him evaluated and the progress he has made through vision therapy is tremendous and will only help him excel and improve upon his strengths and ability to thrive in school. We will be forever grateful for this experience and my son enjoyed every moment of the therapy that has been offered through the relationships built with everyone there! What a tremendous boost to his self esteem.

Five stars seems inadequate, and I wish I could give twice as many! Dr. Campbell is PHENOMENAL with kids! This is one of the few places I've brought my son where he had an enjoyable exam and left with a huge smile on his face! Even the front desk staff and prescreening was a complete 180 from anyplace I've taken my son before. Truly an exceptional experience!

My son showed significant improvement at school with the help of vision therapy. His teachers noticed a difference in his performance in the classroom. He was even chosen as an academic star for the trimester in his reading class! Before starting therapy, I wasn't sure that it would really have much of an impact on his learning, but I figured it was worth a try. For my son, it was definitely worth the time & effort!
