Dr. Newcomb and all of his staff are the absolute BEST!!! I highly recommend this office! I did not have a long wait at all to see the Dr. They treat you like a person and not just a number. Ashley took extra time to help me pick out my frames and was definitely not attempting to "over charge" me as another review attempted to state, this is just simply not true. She even picked a lower priced frame as her favorite for me!

Don't bother setting up an appointment, you'll have to wait anyway. This says he doesn't value his customers time. I always get my contacts cheaper through walgreens so I sent my prescription to them to verify shipment and his daughter denied me as a customer right after I had my yearly exam! If your prescription he writes doesn't work out, you'll have to pay $50 even if it was his mistake in the first place. I was told that no one could fit lenses like he does, but I've found better doctors since! Trust me, you'll have better luck elsewhere!

They are good but every time we go there we have to wait and wait and wait no matter what time our apt is. My husband was there one time for at least three hours waiting. We went today and actually got in and out in a little over an hour. But he is very busy, I feel like the needs a buffer window between patients not to make them one after another. But that's just my opinion... but he def knows what he is talking about and the girls are super helpful and knowledgeable.

Make sure you read their fine print. If you cancel within 24 hours, you will be charged $50.00. They will send you to collections, add collection fees, and then an interest charge on top of that. As others have said, this is on top of long wait times, and inconsistencies in recommendations. I would not recommend this place. There is a lot to be said about the patient experience, and this place does not have it.There are many other eye Dr.s that would love to take care of you.

Never ever think about going to Newcmb eye center. Horrible experience since day 1. First off it took almost 2 months to get my galsses. They kept blaming the lab and frame manufacturer. Second, the bottom of both lenses started to crack after 6 months, I called and they said to bring them in there will be no charge for new lenses since they are still under warranty. Over 3 weeks later and 2 phone calls, the replacement lenes came in. Again blaming the lab. I went to have the new lenses put in and they were the wrong size..too big for my frames, blaming lab. They were reordered and over 2 weeks later they finally came in right. Then I get a bill in the mail for $150.00. stopped in and was told even though they are under warranty I still have to pay for the lab to make new lenses. I was lied to when they told me no charge the lenses are under warranty. First they blamed the $150 charge on the insurance company, and changed to the lab only warranties 50%. It's unbelievable how they treat their customers and nothing is their fault. I'm expected to pay for horrible service, crappy lenses that original cost over $300.00.

My wife and I have gone here for our exams. Today our 7 year old went in for his first exam with Dr. Newcomb. The wait was short and the staff was excellent. He was very informative with my son on what the exam consisted of and what each test was doing to check to see if his eyes were healthy.

Extremely irritated with Dr Newcombs office. The only reason I am writing this is because it is not the first time I have heard of or had similar complaints for the same issue. Dr. Newcomb is a good Dr. but I go there and I offer them up every option to pay the bill at the time of the visit. I give them my flex number, pay the co pay etc. Today I received a bill for 71.00. I guess it was the 2nd notice I dont remember a first one but I'm thinking I better pay this. I call to pay and they had added a 30.00 late fee. In one day now 101.00. I said you got to be kidding me. She ( His arrogant little daughter) argues for awhile and in the end I decided I would rather see a doctor who was more worried about my eyes than his 30.00 late fee. She said that's fine. High priorities!! By the way - the exam was not correct- when I went to my retinologist they said I should go back and get it corrected- I hadn't had the time, which is why I hadn't paid the bill after the 1st notice. Can't do it online. So we parted ways over a faulty examination and a 30.00 late fee and it doesn't bother them one bit to lose a local patient. I paid the entire bill - late fee and all and did not get my exam corrected. My suggestion. - don't go there.

Newcomb Eye center prescribed incorrect eye prescription twice . Dr. Newcomb office will expect you to pay for second rate services even after going to another optometrist and get the correct prescription that works correctly with your eyes. They have refused to refund any portion of the bill yet they still have the glasses and frames. We went to Shopko Optical in Janesville Wisconsin to get glasses that enabled my wife to safely see to drive a car with. You will get zero quality and satisfaction. They say just try the glasses and let your eyes will adjust to the new glasses. Bottom line is Newcomb Eye Center Office manager does not feel that they need to refund the charges because Dr. Newcomb tried twice to get the correct Prescription. He failed but you need to pay all charges even if you didn't except the glasses because they are unsafe to drive a car with his prescription
