I'm a calm and understanding customer and I work in the service industry myself. I usually chalk up rude interactions to someone who is having a bad day. I review with my wallet because I understand people are goaled against customer reviews and I never want to impact someone's financial status, no matter how rude they are. But this- I can't wait to review bomb this place. Have you ever encountered someone who gets off on telling people "no" and using technicality or policy to back themselves up? It's a special kind of person and if you've met one you know exactly what I mean. Well buckle up, because you're about to meet the queen of loving to give bad news if you make an appointment at this location. Made an appointment for my 10 year old son because he broke his glasses. I asked if they could salvage his lenses but sadly his frame is not in production anymore. New frames were given a timeline of 3 weeks. Nothing they can do to expedite the timeframe. No big- they don't owe me special treatment. I was grateful to get in for a fitting. I said we may as well do his exam while we are in. Take time off of work, pull him out of school and we arrive about 10 minutes before his appt. We begin trying on frames, gassing each other up, quietly making decisions. Another guest who is wrapping up their appointment approaches the section we are trying, so we politely step back and say go ahead. The associate approaches us and says "just so you know, after his appointment we will be closing for lunch so you will need to come back another day to try on frames." I explain, calmly, that we had booked the appointment as an emergency as he had broken his glasses. I ask if they can just hang on a few for us afterwards because he has no glasses and needs them badly. She says "unfortunately, we have a certain time we need to close. Because the doctor has other patients." Wow. So she smiles at me, knowing there is nothing I can do but accept my fate. My son is with me, so I'm especially conscious of being rude- I want to be a good example. I asked her to cancel the appointment and walk out. Icing on the cake is the "Sorry we missed you for your appointment" text I got just a few minutes ago. I will never be back, and honestly- what a waste of my time. This was not easy to pull off for me. And my kid still has no glasses. So thanks for seriously just delaying our journey, Meijer optical. I plan to post this on every platform available because people need to beware of this this place- it's a black hole.

I had a great experience seeing Dr. Pasman. She was extremely patient, took the time to listen to my concerns, and explained everything clearly. I never felt rushed, and her helpful, calm approach made the visit very comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Pasman to anyone looking for an attentive and knowledgeable eye doctor.

I wish I could give them zero stars. Very rude staff that tells you " you can't try on the glasses" Zero customer service skills. No wonder they don't get any business.

3 years ago I was so happy with this place. NOT anymore! They don't have any of the same workers and the ones they have do not care about anything! I recommended people to go there since I loved them so much, well the person did go and was soo upset. They rushed her through her appt and when she went to pickup her glasses the girl pulled up the wrong person, told her she owed money, then realized she was wrong and her and the guy working with her both thought it was so funny! Very disrespectful and will NEVER recommend anyone to go there again. Tried to let them know 3 times about my experience and no one got back to me at all. Miss all the people that were there 3 years ago. VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smiling faces. They explained everything that was going to happen at our appt. Sandy, the optical manager is wonderful. She didn't "try" to be friendly, she just was. The Dr was very nice and great with my son. The prices were wonderful and I would recommend them to everyone!

Hands down the worst business ever. They only have a doctor 2 days a week cause they make their own hours. and the two days are Tues and Thursday. They don't take vision insurance. Just close down. Meijer is trash.

I had to return my glasse 3 times because I ordered progressive, and got worst than bifocal glasses. I had the feelings that they had no idea how to measure,and how to fix the problem. I paid over $500.00 for the glasses that worth maybe $100.00. I was told by the lady,that I could just keep pushing up,or pulling down my glasses to focus. My vision has changed,but my old glasses are way better than the "new" one. I will never return for new glasses. If anyone want to save money and aggravation,then don't go there.
