This was my first visit to Clarkson Eyecare in Waterloo IL because we recently moved to the area and I needed my Medicare yearly exam. I liked Dr Bush, however the staff at this location needs a bit more training in Customer Service. They were not necessarily rude but outright dismissive of my presence, until the end of my visit and they wanted to sell me new glasses. I will be looking for a new eye Dr for next year's visit and the correction of my secondary cataract.

Eye doctor is great. Michael that will work with you on your frames after is great too. Blonde woman that worked the desk and tried to do my pre exam test was terrible and had the worst attitude I've experienced there. I declined her to do my pretest and she walked away with more attitude. Michael came in and helped with the same great attitude we've always experienced from him there. As we walked out after the full exam, the blonde woman was playing computer games clearly seen as you exit the exam room. Minus her unprofessionalism, the doctor and Michael were great to work with.

Dr. Bush is phenomenal. I'd recommend him to everyone. The receptionist on 6/9/25 in the afternoon was not so great. Not once did she smile nor was she helpful. To be honest, she seemed like her goal was to make my life miserable. She briefly had a change in attitude when started to talk about frames, but as soon as I asked for my prescription to purchase glasses elsewhere, the bad attitude reappeared. I will say also that when I asked for my PD, she had to ask another person for help. That person was extremely pleasant and helpful.

I would absolutely NEVER recommend Dr Bush to anyone. Waste of time. Waste of money. I should have filed a complaint against his professional license. Clarkson Corporate got involved. Another Clarkson doctor then agreed my regular contact prescription was accurate. So did Bush intentionally raise my contact Rx a power of 2 in both eyes then when I said I couldn't see in those extremely overpowered contacts he then told me to get reading glasses at +2 or did he err that significantly and precisely -2.00 greater than my usual contact prescription ? It's all documented in my records at another Clarkson location - I have copies.
