I called and they told me "we're just booking out too far it would be June". Trying to dissuade me from making an appointment. My eye condition is affecting work and driving so of course it needs addressing. First impression was not good.

I am in my 40s and had to have cataract surgery (thank you years of out of control allergies treated with steroids). I had actually planned to have my surgery at a different clinic, but it got delayed. I was never super comfortable with that surgeon, though, so I decided to look elsewhere. A friend recommended this clinic. From the very start, Dr. DeGuzman was fantastic. He is very patient, and always answered my questions. Since I was an atypical patient for this procedure, I appreciated that he took the time to consider my age and discuss how the surgery would impact me long-term. I also appreciated the informational videos the clinic provided via text to prepare me each step of the way. The videos were very clear and gave me confidence that I understood everything that would be happening. The entire experience went well. I would highly recommend Simpson Eye for cataract surgery.

My parents had their cataracts treated from this practice. This location and the one in Crystal Lake are clean and bright. We prefer the Crystal Lake location, but post-op and pre-op checks are done from this location. Located on 1st floor.

I was referred to this facility from the hospital after an ER visit. I took a softball to my face I had a blowout orbital fracture and cheekbone fracture. They accommodated me the next day and they were on time and somewhat thorough. They had told me everything was fine and to come back in 6 weeks. I had started developing an issue and told them about what I'm experiencing and they reassured me everything was ok. I went back for my follow up and expressed my issues and about how my eye was kind of sinking. They didn't really answer any of my questions and just sent me on my way. I went to a new specialist today who told me I should have had surgery at least 2 weeks after my injury now I'm over two months out and I'm facing more scar tissue and more complications that can come up. This all has to be done in a timely matter. Now the risk of going blind in my eye is greater due to their negligence. I feel like if you are just an older person with eye issue this is the place to go. If you have any trauma to your eye stay away from them all together. To follow up- they said they would follow up with me. A year later I never heard anything. So grateful I found another office that truly cares.

Highly recommend Dr Cohen! I saw at least 5 other doctors (dermatologists, an eye doctor, urgent care and my PCP) before seeing Dr Cohen for a bump on my eyelid. They all gave different diagnosis, anywhere from eczema to a stye, and none seemed concerned. Each one prescribed a different lotion/cream/medication and/or protocol. Dr Cohen had me stop everything and come back 2 weeks later. Since it was still there, he did a biopsy and discovered it was basal cell cancer! He had me scheduled for Mohs surgery within a few weeks (with a dermatologist he recommended that was nearby) and he did the close on it after. It looks amazing! You can't even tell I had the surgery. I wouldn't go to anyone other than Dr Cohen for any eye/face surgery. Thank you, Dr Cohen!

I don't personally go here, a family member does. When we have gone, the service is great but the prices are always different and mind you this family member always has the same thing done so that seems super shady. We tried asking the receptionist for the medical records or even a form to sign, in 2 different occasions to have them given to us but they said they could not do that. How could a patient be denied their own records? I work in the medical field, and deal with these type of things so, I know a person should never be denied from their own medical records. Idk but this place is super shady...

Dr. Romaniv is a great doctor. Very detailed orient, explains my diagnose so I understand what is going on and listens to me. I would have given her 5 stars but she was late to our appointment due to being delayed at the hospital. I understand that patients at a hospital take precedent and I'm fine with that. It shows her devotion to the care to her patients.

Dr. de Guzman is very thorough, attentive, and his results from my surgery were everything I hoped for. His staff are friendly, very caring and efficient. Dr. de Guzman is highly regarded by the staff at the surgery center. As someone relatively new to the area, I feel fortunate to have selected his practice to manage my vision needs.
