Dr. Shafer and her team are so nice and so amazing! My husband's family has been going to her practice his entire life, and now that I need glasses they were the first and only choice for me as well. Could not recommend enough!

I have been bouncing around for years trying to find a good eye doctor since mine, of over 35 years, retired. I believe I've finally found one with Shafer Vision Care. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming and Dr. Shafer spent extra time with my exam since I was a new patient. I will definitely be returning to this family friendly office.

I recently visited Shafer Vision Care to purchase a new pair of prescription glasses, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. After shopping around, I chose Shafer Vision Care based on several recommendations--and I quickly understood why so many people speak highly of them. Despite the office being busy when I arrived, I was greeted immediately by the receptionist and soon assisted by Lori, an optician. I typically gravitate toward conservative, understated frames, but Lori took the time to ask questions, understand my preferences, and evaluate what would complement my facial features. She curated a personalized selection of frames for me, and to my surprise, the very first pair--well outside my usual comfort zone--was a hit. The second was even better, and by the third, I had found the perfect fit. Lori truly has a gift for pairing patients with frames that suit their style and encourage them to explore new options. She even pulled some of the styles I normally choose, but her curated selections were so spot-on that I never felt the need to revisit my typical choices. When it came time to discuss lenses and options, Lori was incredibly thorough. She clearly explained each feature, how it worked, and how my insurance would apply. Once we finalized the perfect lenses, she completed all necessary paperwork--including the order and insurance documentation--with remarkable efficiency. She quickly provided my final cost, which I found to be very competitive. Although many steps go into selecting glasses--demographics, frame selection, lens customization, insurance details--the process felt seamless and streamlined. It's clear that both the office and Lori prioritize efficiency without sacrificing personal attention. I cannot say enough good things about Lori or Shafer Vision Care. I will wholeheartedly join others in recommending them and offering well-deserved accolades for their exceptional service.

INCREDIBLE!!! Top notch crew with state of the art technology. Highly recommend! We have a choice of going to providers who are in network with our insurance. We CHOOSE to pay out of pocket and remain patients of Dr. Shafer because of the quality of care she provides. The investment she makes in technology in order to provide her patients with top tier care. I know with confidence, that my family and I are receiving the best care. We trust Dr. Shafer and her team 100%!

The staff is outstanding. They know you by name and give extra attention to make sure you get the best results. Dr. Shafer takes all the time needed to explain things and then her staff supports the options until you get the best fit. Julie is amazing.
