Being a patient of Dr. Erik Barrett at Barrett Eye Care brings you into one of the most well-run physician practices possible. The front office staff that check patients in and verify insurance and medical records work seamlessly with the clinical staff that prepare the patient to see Dr. Barrett. Likewise, pre-surgical appointments, surgery scheduling, testing, and follow-up appointments are made with both the office's and patient's availability in mind. Thank you Barrett Eye Care.

I was a patient of Dr. Brumbaugh for years, and he was absolutely outstanding. Excellent physician, friendly, and just a pleasure to receive care from. Sadly he recently retired. I called today to see who was taking his patients (unfortunately Barrett had not notified his patients - he told me himself last year) and the attendant was short and annoyed by my call. She told me they don't do the procedure I need anymore (only Dr. Brumbaugh performed it evidently). She offered nothing further and was silent. After a few seconds of awkward silence, I said, "okay... do you have a referral for me...?" After a sigh she rattled off a name. No offer to send a referral, no offer to send my records, not even an offer to give me the new Dr.'s phone number or email!? Then when I said thank you - she just hung up the phone. I have received unprofessional and spotty treatment from Barrett Eye Care staff at random times over the past several years, but always just looked the other way and endured it because I was so appreciative of Dr. Brumbaugh's care. Now that he is retired I am so pleased to delete this place from my life and never look back. Do yourself a huge favor and keep scrolling to find a different provider other than Barrett Eye care. They are terrible at communication and do not value their patients.

I honestly just wasted my time calling this place to make an appointment for my family. I should of read the reviews before I called this office. The person that was taking my information, Blake, was beyond rude. He didn't like the fact that I made a mistake on the date that I was requesting for my husband and youngest child. He made a grunt noise and that clearly let me know that he was annoyed with me. I told him to cancel the appointment I was making because I didn't appreciate how rude he was being, he hung up on me. Very professional on his part. I did see that there's great reviews on the doctor that works there. But what a shame that the person taking the appointment is so rude. Will definitely not be considering this practice for my family. Would rather take them some place they won't be addressed in a derogatory manner.

Best eye doctor I've seen in years. Dr. Gonzales is terrific. She answered all of my questions and took the time needed to make me fee like an important part of her day. Additionally, David at the Fishers location spent a lot of time helping me pick just the right frames. He knows his inventory and what looks good on his clients.

I've been seeing Dr Brumbaugh for almost 40 years through cataract procedures and general eye care. His move to Barrett has been good for me as well. The staff is great and most important, caring and patient.

I've been going here for a few years now. It's my third Eye Care provider since I moved to Indiana 8 years ago and I don't plan to change! They are friendly and helpful. They are also thorough and the doctors actually listen and discuss your concerns. Great experience with buying glasses too!
