We recognize that authentic healing stems from profound expressions of love. The remarkable team at Talley Eye Center in Marion, IL, under Dr. Michael Morris's leadership, and the outstanding staff from Marion healthcare, have shown extraordinary kindness. On behalf of the Mustapha's, Global Missions Resource Center Yendi, and Ditney Ridge Baptist Church, we express our deepest gratitude for the exceptional love and care shown to me, restoring my vision. Now the Muss Is Loose. Muss on the Move I highly recommend Talley Eye institute their Professionalism, welcoming and above all loving environment they provide for their clients.
It was an absolute pleasure being cared for by Dr. Carr and his team. From the very first appointment to my grandmother's first LASIK surgery, he has been nothing but patient, kind, and incredibly welcoming, especially toward my grandmother, who does not speak English at all.
Katherine, the technician, was exceptionally gentle and patient. My grandmother usually takes a bit longer during eye exams because she's never been fully comfortable with the equipment used in these tests. Katherine never rushed her; instead, she continually reassured my grandmother, kept a calm pace, and made sure she felt safe and at ease throughout the entire process.
Dr. Carr always communicated with a warm smile and treated my grandmother with the utmost respect, despite the language barrier. It's clear that he brings the same kindness and professionalism to every patient he meets. Today's left-eye LASIK surgery went extremely well. I was fortunate enough to be present during the procedure to comfort my grandmother, and I was able to witness firsthand Dr. Carr's extraordinary skill, precision, and confidence.
Thank you, Dr. Carr, for taking such wonderful care of my family and for delivering truly high-quality work. Your compassion and expertise mean more than you know.
I had been postponing my cataract surgery due to confidence issues, but recently a fellow teacher recommended Dr. Morris at Talley Eye Institute. Two telephone calls later, I had my initial evaluation and surgery dates established. I am now the proud owner of two new lenses. The entire process was seamless and the staff at the office and the surgery center were very kind and professional. I have absolutely no qualms in recommending them.
I don't often give reviews actually this is the first one I've given on anything.
I had surgery there for cataract last week and was treated with the utmost disrespect. I was talking like a stupid dog. They gave me three different types of eye drops. I asked which one was the antibiotic and they said the one with the white cap.. bearing how I talk to me like crap I looked it up when I went home and the White Cap wasn't an antibiotic after all. Is I don't know what they're doing or they're liars.
I was made very comfortable and felt confident with all services at Talley Eye starting with Dr Carr and his staff. I had cataract surgery on both eyes and I can see so clear now. The surgical staff and nurses in pre and post Op were kind and caring and answered all my questions I highly recommend Dr Carr, Talley Eye and Valley Surgery Center.
I'm a military veteran so I was referred to this place through the VA; it was a pretty bad experience from start to finish which is why I'm leaving a review. Despite arriving on time, I had to wait nearly an hour after my time slot to be seen. The nurses ran a battery of tests clearly showing I've lost some vision on my left eye. The doctor saw me for all of 7 minutes after the exams and determined I simply needed some reader I could pick up anywhere. So they simply ran unnecessary tests in order to charge my VA insurance. Not to mention the fact that I kept getting passed around because some of the nurses simply didn't want to do their job or they just don't know how to deal with black people, it was very uncomfortable. I haven't been to any other optometrist around here but based on first impression, I would not recommend coming here, especially if you're a veteran, you'll get fleeced, they will charge you for exams and tests and tell you to just get some dollar store readers.
If you are thinking of getting LASIK let this Chicken Little tell you, you will be fine! It is nothing horrible like I made it out to be in my head. I can literally see right now although my vision is a little cloudy for all the post op drops.
The staff here (Dr. CARR and Kendra) were phenomenal and comforted/calmed me all the way (you literally get Valium before the procedure) I felt absolutely ZERO pain throughout the procedure and the laser is not what you are thinking it will be. I give it a 10/10 & am excited to have a future without glasses everyday!
Talley Eye Institute performed cataract surgery on my left eye. From start to finish all personnel, details of the procedure, pre and post visits, and facilities were top notch! I am returning in two weeks to have my right eye surgery. Excellent organization and facility!
