Meijer Optical

I recently purchased glasses from Meijer Optical in McCordsville and had a fantastic experience. The manager, Lindsey, was wonderful. It was my 1st experience with needing glasses and she made the process very easy. She was patient, thorough in explaining everything and very friendly. I highly recommend and definitely ask for Lindsey!!

It was my first time purchasing from Meijer Optical in Mccordsville, and I am regretting going here! LOUSY customer service to say the least!! If I can give these people zero stars, I would. I placed the order in 4/1. As of 4/24 I did not receive ANY CALLS updating about my order that they told me it would take 7-10 business day to be done. I had to seek them out. I called them 2 weeks later and was told my glasses came in but was not done right, so they sent them back to the lab. You would think they would pick up the phone and update me my order at that time but NO, zero contacts!!! I had to seek them to find out. The woman on the phone sounded unprofessional too. Told me she would let me know the status in a few days. Well more than a week later. No calls. Every time I called in, it goes straight to messaging. LOUSY service and probably products too, but I can't even get my orders so I cant even tell the real quality. I will spread this experience to others. DO NOT GO HERE if you want good reliable customer service!! The pricing wasn't that great either. I am regretting I gave these people my business! Meijer management need to retrain their optical staff about integrity in doing business before they damage more good existing business relationships and lose more potential customers!

I had a broken pair of glasses and he fixed it in 2 minutes! Life saver. Use his services, he's a gem.

Staffing is awful and unreliable and quite rude when they make errors. The manger was very upset when the measurements of the bifocal line was to high. They bent the heck out of the frames to try to move that line instead of remaking the lens. They damaged the frames. The manager stated they were going to remake the frames and fix the lens. I am now calling back two weeks later to basically have them tell me she has not started the reorder process yet. It has been a way over two months working with them patiently and now I am wanting a return. What a waste of time. I don't suggest going to this place for any kind of eye service.

"Optical Manager" was incredibly rude when asking which types of lens materials they are able to order. I need specialty lenses due a visual disability. She certainly let me know I was bothering her with my question!

Lindsey is amazing. She has always helped us out with a smile. Dr Lewton is professional and knowledgeable. We love Meijer Optical.

Went to check out the polarized sun glass special and was helped by Kimberly P. Very friendly and helpful person. Did a great job of helping me pick out a nice pair of frames and when I noticed a special for 2 pairs of glasses for $69.00 she explained how the program worked. I decided to get two new pair of glasses since my sunglasses were a new prescription. Then I would have enough glasses with my new prescription. She helped me pick out two new frames also for regular glasses. Fortunately she found another discount for me and really saved me money. Thank you Kim for all your help and friendly service and the money you saved me. Will definitely be sending you new customers!

I called 4/11/22 to find out the price of an examination. I talked to Judy the manager and she told me $60, she also told me they had availability that day so I made an appointment for later that day. I arrived 15 minutes early, Judy was with another customer, I wasn't greeted or welcomed to the store but was told by Judy "it's going to be a while ". I was fine with it, she's been rude to me in the past and I just waited for my appointment time. The optometrist came out to get me and was aggravated at Judy because I had not been given any paperwork to fill out. She then attempted to throw me under the bus for not letting her know that I was there for an exam. I told she would have known if she had just asked why I was there instead of being so rude. When my exam was over I was told by another employee that my total was $90, I told her Judy quoted me $60 over the phone, Judy stood there and didn't say a word. The optometrist asked me when getting a price if I had asked for a price with dilation? I told him, that I did not, I told him that I had never had an exam without dilation, and if they offer an exam with or without dilation that I should've been told that there was 2 prices but I reluctantly paid the extra $30. I called back this week and asked for a name and number for their general manager and wanted them to be aware of this problem. I was told that Kevin is the general manager and they would have him call me. A short time later Judy called and left me a voicemail saying that there was no general manager, that she was the manager, and if I wanted to talk to the optometrist, he would be happy to talk with me. So I called back and told them I would like to talk to him and I was told he would call when he was free. I did not get a call back. I called again yesterday since the optometrist still hadn't called me back and talked to a new person. I explained the situation and he told me that either he or Keith would call me back within the hour. An hour and a half went by with no call back so I called again. I was told that my information and my complaint had been forwarded to Kevin. Im still waiting on Keith. Update, what a sad way to do business
