I had eye exam for both my husband and I. Great service. Last place I went was Vision First. Horrible. After cataract surgery old skinny man tested my eyes and put power on my lenses that he even said you don't need it but I'm gonna add just a little! He just did this to make more money I told him only put what I need. My lenses peeled after a year. When I first came after surgery I told him my one eye was hurting badly. He says cause my lens was scratched. Asking him how would my lense be scratch he says, I probably scratch it. He walked in the room, to place a lense on my eye said it wouldn't be so painful with it in. Before I could say anything he grabbed my lid and put the lense in my eye. He had left to go to the bathroom. He never put on gloves. He probably didn't even wash his hands! This is horrible he could have gave me an infection in my eye! At least Dr. Blacks office was very professional! Thanks for your service.

First eye appointment since moving to Indiana from Texas and the experience was awesome! The desk administrators were great, the Opthomologist assistant was great and Dr. Stroud was great. Everyone pitched in to help with finding new frames, which is my favorite part and everyone pitched in even the Doc. Very knowledgeable, friendly, happy and fun. I do have special circumstances with my eyes and for inquiring minds I have wet macular degeneration with retinal detachment in one eye that was repaired of course but very poor vision in that eye. Dr. Stroud is actually the first Dr. that explained how things work together and what does and doesn't make sense when it comes to vision, contacts and glasses for my vision to be as good as it can be. Of course over the 20 yrs since the eye surgery my previous eye Dr.'s explained things but Dr. Stroud did it in a way that made me say oh, ok now that makes sense. I like that they have Opthomologists, Optometrists and retinal specialist Dr.s because it's a one stop shop! Thanks everyone at Dr. Black's Eye Associates!
