I was a patient of Dr Lee but moved to Pennsylvania. My new Doctor's treatments show me that Dr Lee needs to go back to school to learn the latest eye treatments. His equipment is out of date, pushes injections that is only a temporary fix. He stacks patients in his waiting room and you end up sitting for three hours waiting for your treatment. His treatment are painful and doesn't work your problems to a end solution. Stay away from him until he gets new training and new equipment!
I know some reviews criticized the time it takes to get through the process but in my experience, new to be sure, the team here is on the ball, empathetic and as efficient as they can be given the number of patients. And I like them. Listen, no one wants to be there but I had a lovely opportunity to chat with different people and, as started before, Dr Lee and his team are amazing.
And trust me, I am exceedingly dissatisfied with many medical encounters, but not this one.
In July 2022, my husband had a torn and detached retina. Dr. Lee graciously agreed to see him that day as no one in Fort Wayne where we live would. (This is probably why he runs far behind each day, because he wants to help everyone). My husband had surgery and followed Dr.'s instructions faithfully and is back playing softball and bowling less than one year later. We never minded the wait while we were there because we knew how dedicated he is to his calling. It's not fast food.... It's great, quality care. Thank-you Dr. Lee and dedicated staff!
As far as I can tell, Dr. Lee performed a complete evaluation of my eye problem and came up with a diagnosis. He said that he couldn't fix what was wrong with my eye, but apparently he suspected that my problem was caused by my circulatory system because he asked me several questions and then wrote a note on his letterhead listing several tests he thought I should have. He told me to take the note to my primary care physician and if I couldn't get in within 48 hours, I should go to an emergency room and have the tests done. He is a medical doctor so if he thought something was wrong, he should have ordered the tests or at least told me what he thought was wrong. I left his office wondering what to do and what not to do. I contacted my primary care doctor who wondered the same thing. I don't plan on returning to see Dr. Lee.
I'm not a happy camper! I was last to be seen and left alone in a dark room! Everyone was out the building! I thought I was in a nightmare on generations drive as I looked for someone. It was after 7 pm And I end up finding the doctor Lee and 2 other female in a closed room performing laser surgery! The wait is crazy long and I arrived at 2pm and did not leave until almost 8pm
8 years ago I suffered a retinal tear. Dr. Lee performed laser surgery that day and later corrected another problem with my other eye. I am so grateful! He saved my eyes! I have had no difficulties stemming from those surgeries. I felt very confident being treated by him. I highly recommend him!
They may do good work( not seeing real improvement) but they have no respect for people's time. We had the first appointment and they are behind 15 minutes with no concern. We have never been in and out on time.
He is a long wait, but he talks to each of his patients to make sure they are informed on how their eyes really are doing. He makes you feel like your are his top patient when you see him.
