Dr Berry seemed great at what he does, he was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable and made sure to explain everything well, his secretary on the other hand is either completely incompetent or enjoys wasting people's time. I was assured throughout booking my appointment and checking in that my insurance was accepted, only to be told afterwards that it isn't and I'm expected to pay full price. On top of that, I wasn't actually told I would be paying until 11am, when walk in hours end at most optometrists, making sure I had no choice but to pay because I couldn't get in anywhere else. Don't bother with this place unless you're already planning on paying fully out of pocket (or they replace the receptionist) because as of right now it's a total scam and a complete waste of time and energy. Maybe if they get new employees that actually care about their patients' time it wouldn't be so bad but as of right now this practice is staffed with someone that made sure the appointment wasn't worth the gas to drive there, let alone the money they're trying to squeeze out of people. As much as I would love to make him my primary optometrist due to his knowledge on the eye and great bedside manner, I won't be back on account of the inability to provide basic information on the part of the girl that checked me in and 'verified' my insurance.

Stephanie and the Doctor were absolutely amazing. The Dr's sense of humor is outrageous! He makes you comfortable and the entire exam was a breeze. Stephanie went above and beyond. She even dealt with my father over the phone. And trust me, he is a handful! She was gracious, accommodating and polite with Chuck (father) and had more patience with him than I do. I was very impressed with both of them. I had never been to a Pearle Vision Center before but they will now be my go to for an eye doctor. Thank you
Extremely expensive, even with insurance. $125 for basic glasses and exam with insurance or over $300 for contacts.
The doctor himself is great! He's so sweet. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was miserable.
The older receptionist rushed me through my appointment, repeatedly mentioning that the doctor "had somewhere else to be," which made me feel like a complete inconvenience rather than a patient. She then became audibly frustrated while trying to put contacts into my eyes, which was uncomfortable to begin with, as I should have been taught how to insert them myself. I ultimately had to ask to do it on my own.
I was given only one pair of contacts that dry out my eyes and do not allow me to see properly. I am new to contacts and do not believe these are suitable for my eyes. I also have astigmatism in one eye, which makes my vision extremely sensitive to light.
I was told my glasses would arrive in two weeks. It has now been over two weeks, and I found out only because I called, otherwise, they were going to let another week pass without informing me that my glasses aren't even in yet. Due to "holiday shipping," I will be struggling to see for nearly a month, resulting in blinding migraines and daily discomfort.
Do not set expectations with patients if you cannot meet them. And if expectations change, communicate that. Patients should not have to chase basic updates.
This has been the most frustrating and disappointing experience I've ever had with an eye doctor's office.
I have been twice now. I couldn't recommend this office enough. The staff is kind, committed, and easy to talk to. I enjoy the way the staff talks to me in ways I understand, and does not speak to me like it is simply transactional. They seem to truly care.
The techs were polite, friendly, and helpful. I was not impressed with Dr. H, who was very loud, and showed no regard for patient privacy. The door of the exam room, which was at the opposite end of the hallway from the waiting area, was wide open while he was completing an exam on a patient and everything the doctor was saying could be clearly heard in the waiting area. While I was in the open exam room, he spent as much time talking about himself as he did providing the exam for which I was there.
Doctor did great, ordered glasses and contacts, got a text, contacts on backorder, Google search states supply difficulties last 4 months, called office requested to just change back to my original contacts, was told since they were being shipped to me directly, nothing could be done, ordered me a sample pair, if it's on back order, why couldn't it be canceled and a new order submitted? I'm guessing sample pair every month till I get mine.
The doctor and the staff are great. Very patient and more then willing to take their time with you to make sure you understand everything every step of the way.
The doctor is thorough and great at what he does. The staff is informed and helpful from start to finish. Makes ordering glasses simple.
