Moses Eyecare Center Valparaiso

Leaving this review on behalf of my mother. She called to make sure this placed accepted her insurance and that she was fully covered and they told her yes. They didn't tell her anything until after they did the exam and then told her that her exam wasn't covered at all by the insurance. They are slow getting your glasses ready for pick up and the lady is rude. I would never recommend this place to ANYONE!!! I am disgusted at the terrible service that my mother received.

Went to pick up my glasses and my car died as it was snowing. The receptionist was quick to help me and Im so thankful for it! The eye care is amazing here, but being that helpful deserves 10 stars!!!

Just called in. The woman was very rude. Didnt know that valpo meant valparaiso. Hung up on me. I have been trying for days to get ahold of this place and this was my first interaction. Will not be doing business here ever again

Great people especially Dylon or Dillon (apologies if incorrect) everyone is 5star plus and they go out of their way to help you and make you feel comfortable. They our are family center I go to Valpo, my kids Crown point.

I had just recently moved from Crown Point to Hamlet, Indiana and needed to find another closer Moses Eyecare Center and Valparaiso was it and today was my very first visit. I am a military retiree and I was so very impressed with the Kindness and professionalism of the staff members I met with. Dr G really helped me make a great decision concerning my future eyecare. All the staff members were just great and had a very nice pleasantness about them and I'm looking forwarded to many years of eyecare with this facility. Well done.

Had an appointment on a very cold day. Showed up a few minutes early, and there was already an elderly man waiting at the door. When the young man showed up to open the door, he turned around real quick and shut it and locked it again. Leaving us out in the cold. Then turned on the lights got his computer ready and then let us in. When I checked in I asked him why he left us out in the cold. He said he was sorry. Then he wanted me to fill out a bunch of forms. I told him that I was not new and why did I have to fill these forms out again. There was a lady in the back room that shot me a look when I said that. He said they wanted to make sure nothing had changed. I told him nothing had changed. When I went in the back for the pre-examined it was the lady that had looked at me when I was talking to the young man in the front. She was very unfriendly and rude during the examination. She then sat me in a room. After waiting for 15 minutes the room got extremely hot so I open the door. I noticed that there was no doctors there. So I sat down in the hallway to cool off. My appointment was at 10 o'clock and the doctor didn't show up till 10:30. When the doctor came in, I asked her if she always came in this late. She said she always comes in later than the first appointment because she knows you have to go through pre-examination. I asked her why would you make a 10 o'clock appointment if you weren't going to come in until 10:30. No real answer. She had left during the examination and came back in and then made some lame excuse about not getting any sleep that night. What does not getting any sleep that night have to do with you getting to work on time? I then went out to pick frames for my new glasses. I told the young lady that I was sitting with that I wanted the exact frames that I had. She told me they were discontinued. Then we went over to the rack to look at the glasses, she found the frames. She said oh here they are.When I came in to pick up my glasses I realize they weren't the same frames. These are much smaller than the original frames that I had bought. We've been with Moses for two years and spent over $3000. I expected much better customers service than I received. Looks like it's time to look for a new an eye doctor.

I have been to Moses in Merrillville/Valpo previously for an eye emergency and most recently Valpo for a contact exam. There was a hiccup along the way with the contacts that made finding the right pair difficult and turned into a bit of a process. The entire staff at Moses was incredibly patient and kind, and each went above and beyond to help me get exactly what I needed. Special thanks to Dr. G, Dylan, and Allison for all of their help, along with the rest of the staff. I highly recommend them!
