America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I'm never going back to American's Best. I went in 2024 and the guy who helped me was rude and grouchy. Think it's caused I interrupted his smoke break for my eye appointment. Then he had the nerve to try to get me to buy bifocals by saying: everyone in their 40's are wearing them. Even tho I can see just fine with normal glasses. Then the women in front was also very rude to me. Telling me: You can only pick out two frames this one and that one. I asked her why. She replied with: Their the only one's that will work with your prescription. So I said to her: huh don't they shape them to match any lenes? The lady: Well yours will only fit in these two. Me: Well that's makes zero sense. Then turns out with the new glasses which I never wear due to I can't read a thing when wearing them. The people didn't even have me read anything to see how they were, just here's your new glasses and sent me on my way. Here's the thing, I can read perfectly with my old 2015 glasses. Which is what, I've been wearing ever since and I haven't touched my new glasses at all. Never had such rudeness at American's Best before.

I've been using America's best for years and this has been by far my worst experience when purchasing glasses. First, I paid $90 extra to have my glasses be thin. Well that was a scam, when I received my glasses the glass was 2-3 thicker than the frames I chose. They then told me that was because of my prescription and the frame I chose. They should of disclosed that when I chose the frames and paid the $90. So they told me I could choose different/thicker frames and they would redo them, so I did. I also contacted corporate explain this 2 weeks ago, they said they would reach out but they still haven't. I know came to pick up my new glasses because I got a message they had arrived and now they're saying that they were already picked up. That they don't have them and someone would reach out to me. This has been such a disappointing experience and it's not even over yet. Now I don't have any glasses and all they could say is "it says here you already picked them up". When I never did. This includes a picture of how thick my glass was after paying $90 extra to make them "thinner".

I received a phone call from them. They didn't have to. They could have saved themselves a lot of money, but they chose to do the right thing and call me back and tell me that you get 2 weeks after the end of the warranty to come in, I really want to thank them for doing that, because I had lost an eyeglass and I would have had to spend a lot of money out-of-pocket to get new ones. That kind of thing there shows you that they really care about their customers and not just their bottom line. Thank you very much for your excellent customer service.

I was waiting until we finished the process before making a review. And for all my moms out there with kids or who may be blind themselves lol I highly recommend America's best in Council Bluffs. We had their exam last week. And that day, the office was a group of young girls who were so nice and made my girls feel so comfortable and helped them pick out glasses while I was helping one or the other with their appointments. They were so calm when one of my daughters was freaking out and scared of the little air puff in your eye IYKYK When we went to pick up yesterday it was a different group of women who were just as wonderful as the other girls. I had my appointment and my husband needed to change my sons diaper so one of the other women sat the girls down to help adjust their glasses we were picking up. Helping me choose and try on like 6 different pairs while my husband tried to contain the baby and the girls watched hulu on my phone. All of the women we encountered were so helpful, showing us the numbers on the sides of the glasses to help us narrow down because you know me and my girls have chubby cheeks and round faces lol. While I was checking out the woman was so nice and she asked me to let her see my glasses I had on my face. (4 years old scratched all to hell, I can literally only see at the very tops of my lenses. Very worn ok) I hand them to her and she is like "oh wow these are loose, let me tighten these up for you" Yall I could have cried. Like bless these women, she came back and these babies were like brand new! We have astigmatism and I will tell you with no fancy add-ons their deal of 2 pairs for $89 is well worth it. This was also with no insurance involved. The eye place in town is great but as a mom in today's economy I wasnt going to pay 300 each for both girls and they only get 1 pair you know? And my girls got a little clear case for both pairs! I know long but these women were all so wonderful I had to give them a shout.

Did a eye exam with the understanding it was a FULL eye exam, received my glasses that are par at best. Called to order contacts and was told I needed to pay extra for that part of the exam to be able to purchase contacts... Wouldn't of been a big deal if that was stated at the beginning.. I told them I wear both at the start of our apointment. Not happy with the overall experience!

This was my first experience at America's Best after going to the same eye clinic for the last 18 years and had an amazing experience. My 10 year old loved the employees, called it "the best day ever!" Cheryl and Jackie were amazing help, highly recommend!

Can't make it in to get an eye exam. My prescription is expired. My contact is tore will go in next week for eye exam and they told me tough live with it. Nothing we can do. I don't have glasses. I have contacts only. So now I'm going to be blind until I can make it in next week. What a joke of a place that's definitely not customer service by any means. When I asked to talk to the manager she was very condescending and degrading. When I asked for her boss's information she told me I could call customer care and hung up on me. Needless to say, I've went to America's best for many years. I will probably never be back

Jackie has been so awesome to work with! So sweet and kind cannot wait to see her again! Totally recommend
