Family Vision Center

Family Vision Center worked with me and all of my kiddoes to get our exams done and our glasses, contacts, etc., fit and ready. They spent lots of time with my son to make sure he was ready to go! Excellent customer care -highly recommend.

I had a throughway eye exam, was very impressed. However, the lady who fits/adjusts glasses did not understand how to adjust frames. She had my frames so maladjusted, I just asked her to stop. I took them ( and my prescription) to another optical shop. The gentleman there was not sure he could undo the damage. But luckily the frames were saved. I am afraid I won't be back. Not sure why my BCBS was billed, as I have VSP and annual exams are completely covered. I will inquire about this.

I thought my glasses were beyond help. I'd stepped on them and they completely misshapen. I said I realized they were done for but Deanna said she'd see what she could do. A few minutes later she returned my glasses to me looking like new! Deanna is Amazing!!!

Went to my 8:40am appt as it was scheduled, by my wife, for today (1/24/24). Upon entering I was asked if I had an appointment. I said yes, told her my name and then she proceeded to tell me that I never scheduled an appointment. I said you are correct, my wife scheduled this more than a week ago. She proceeded to tell me that she only scheduled my wife's appointment for the following Friday and no other. Then asked if I could schedule one for another time. I proceeded to call my wife and asked her, while on speaker, if she had talked to Tammy (might not be correct spelling of her name) my wife said yes it was Tammy. Tammy proceeded to tell her that she didn't do that. She again said that I could schedule an appointment. I looked at her and said "No, I did my job and showed up for the one today, you should have done yours." walked out. Here is where it gets interesting, Tammy proceeds to come outside after I left and tells me they could get me in now. The problem being, I'm a firm believer in customer service. If that was the case instead of telling me that my wife never did something. She should have pushed that to the side and said let's get you in. Instead, she was only worried about being right. I'm writing this lengthy review to say don't bother going to this place because if you call and she writes an appt somewhere else or she forgets it's not her fault until after you leave. It is your fault during the conversation and there is no way to fix it. After, she proceeded to call my wife and apologize. First impressions matter, the first impression is that it's not her fault. Because she represents that business, she has made it clear that is the Business's standpoint. It is instead, your wife is a liar, or you don't know what you're doing. When it should be let me fix this and we will get you in. Then figuring out what happened later. Especially since there was legit an open spot that she could have put me into that she admitted to having later. I had never been to that place. I showed up a little early to fill out paperwork. Terrible experience will not recommend.

My son is really shy and has anxiety meeting new people, but he felt completely at ease with all of the staff. They're all so friendly.

My husband got glasses here. It took them close to a month to even get them in then when they did they are the most horrible glasses hes ever had in 30 years of having to wear them. The lenses are huge and dont fit the frames, they are not shaped at all, like 1/4" thick lenses that do not fit in the frames, over hang on either side of them. They fall off his face they are so bulky and heavy. They look like a pair of joke glasses not like something that came from an Optamolagist. They refused to fix them without wanting a bunch more money when they were clearly not made correctly in the first place. Literally the worst quality I've ever seen. We wont be going back.

The staff were terrific; Dr. Thomsen took the time to answer my questions and educate and explain things.

Great staff, great doctors!! Clean and professional. Very thorough. Give wonderful advice and support.
