I recently had strabismus surgery to correct my double vision. Dr. Bitner was amazing. He encouraged me to have the surgery and explained how the surgery would correct my vision problem. When examined a week later, one of the nurses said that he had done an amazing job. And my vision is now normal. Thank you Dr. Bitner and team. You are amazing.

Dr. Bitner is so great at what he does! Both of my children have had eye surgeries done by him and I knew they were in great hands each time. Both of their visions are seeing improvements. We can't recommend him enough! Thanks, Dr. Bitner!

We can't say enough good things about Dr Bitner and Wolfe Eye Clinic. My son was born at 23 weeks gestation and has been seeing Dr Bitner since he was 1-year-old. Now at 12, my son will say Dr Bitner is his favorite doctor. The staff is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Dr Bitner provides expertise, compassion and professional service in pediatric ophthalmology! Especially for children who may have complex medical needs.

I waited 4 months to be seen by Dr. Bitner. I brought in a list of my symptoms and described to an assistant why I wanted a consultation, and gave her the list. After some preliminary tests and after waiting in the lobby I was led into an exam room. Dr. Bitner came in, told me I was fine and there wasn't anything wrong with my eyes, implied I had convinced myself something was wrong, asked me if I had any questions, and then the nurse with him ushered me out the door. I couldn't have been in a room with him for longer than 5 minutes. I have never felt so summarily dismissed by a medical professional. No conversation about any of my symptoms, no alternative diagnosis possibilities, no explanation for what my symptoms were if he didn't think they totaled a diagnosis or why they may be normal (but then why are they listed as symptoms of a condition? And why did I have over a dozen? Are they ALL normal??) Nothing. My eyes are fine, have a nice day. How do you argue with a doctor without sounding like you WANT something to be wrong with you? I didn't even get my list back. I have no idea if he even read it. He didn't mention it or anything on it at all. Needless to say, I will be seeking a second opinion. Maybe the next doctor will make me feel less like a hypochondriac wasting his time.
