Vision Park Family Eye Care

All the staff here are very kind and helpful. My exam was thorough and I was able to get a prescription that suited my needs. If I had to make a critique, it would be that I wish they had a wider selection of frame options. But the ones they did have were very nice and I was able to find some I liked.

My daughter and I had our eye exams With Dr. Shepherd who was very professional and thorough. She was very kind and and listened and was very easy to talk to. My daughter and I both had to pick out new glasses and the Technician was just the same: professional, thorough and friendly. An overall pleasant morning- thanks so much!!

I went in for an exam today. First time I've been to Vision Park, and I am absolutely impressed. Fantastic customer service, Doc who explained everything, and really took time during the exam to make sure my new script for lenses will be an improvement.

We had a great experience here. Dr. Shepherd was patient and explained each step to my daughter, which helped with my daughter's anxiety. Our appointment was on time, and the kids room kept my other kids entertained while my daughter was having her exam. Thank you for such a positive experience.

My son was referred to Dr. Billings and her staff for vision therapy. We weighed the pros and cons of following through with this extensive program, and chose to proceed with the treatment plan of V.T. The time and effort my 7 year old (who turned 8 during treatment) put into the program was definitely worth it and has paid off. The V.T. staff (in particularly, Mr. Alex) was very knowledgeable, patient, and in-tune with the needs of my son. Ongoing communication was presented throughout the process, and he was quick to respond via email or telephone. During the newness off the pandemic, we were able to continue V.T. sessions virtually. It took close to a year to complete the treatment plan, though I am sure the pandemic did play a part in this. The billing staff presented numerous options to help us plan for the expense. What you put in is likely what you will get out of this experience. We were very diligent about the daily vision therapy exercises, and are very pleased with the results. When an exercise wasn't working or not going well, Mr. Alex and Dr. Billings found a way to adjust them to the likeness of my son. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Billings and Mr. Alex for their dedication to my son's success. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Des Moines is very lucky to have you in our community to help our children succeed.

My son needed vision therapy and I was skeptical at first, but after working with Alex I could see great improvements in a short time. Alex was very professional, punctual, and my son really enjoyed his sessions. I would recommend Vision Park Vision Therapy to anyone who is looking for a great place for vision therapy.

I have been to other eye doctors, but have never felt as comfortable with them as I did with Vision Park. From check in to picking out new glasses, every step of my exam was explained to me and why. The gentleman helping me pick out new glasses was engaged in helping me pick the right frames for my face shape. Dr. Billings and her staff are amazing. They have been treating us like family for over a decade. Always straightforward and honest. With Dr. Billings' guidance and Chelsea making sessions fun, our kiddo has also been benefiting from vision therapy. Reading is no longer a such struggle.
