Dr Anliker is a wonderful eye surgeon, very professional, caring and a wonderful human being. He takes his time to evaluate the patient and he takes his time to fully explain the entire procedure to the patient. If I could rate him higher than 5 Stars, I definitely would.
His office support staff is every bit as professional, caring, supportive and on top of the ball. I am so happy that I found this team for my cataract surgery.
I am having cataract surgery on both of my eyes. My left eye has always been my bad/weak eye, so naturally that was the eye to start with. I am now 3 days post opt. Many years ago my left eye sight was evaluated at
20/200. After surgery it is evaluated at 20/50 without any correction. I can now see better with my left eye than with my right eye. Cataract surgery for my right eye will be in a few days and I can hardly wait!
If anyone is riding the fence about having cataract surgery done, you shouldn't be. I wish I'd had it done years earlier.

Wayne Anliker, OD, MD, grew up in the Madison, KS area, earning his undergraduate degree at Kansas State University before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He practiced optometry for three years before returning to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After earning his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Anliker completed an internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He did his residency in ophthalmology at Indiana University.
