Eye Center of Fort Scott

im 51 years old and I've never seen this well in my life !! they take the time during the vision test to not only make sure your eyes are healthy but to make sure you can see the best possible im very impressed!!! THANK YOU EYE CENTER OF FORT SCOTT!!!!

My husband goes for all his eye healthcare here. They are always willing to get him into an appointment as soon as possible. He actually missed an appointment but they made it possible for him to get in the same day he called apologizing for him missing said appointment. He's currently having some serious eye issues and they're doing everything they can to solve his issues.

The doctor was great! Front desk is the problem. The elder woman is condescending, uncaring, and her statue is of one trying very hard to keep it together with the public until she gets home and than explodes where no one can see who she really is, but it is visible in every sense, and uncomfortable. No one should be treated in such a manner and no employer should tolerate this type of behavior in their professional business towards the public. On the second time of picking up my glasses they are still not of what I had ordered after having to wait over four weeks. I had asked for them to be of bi-focal lense NO LINE, and guess what, they came back with a line and bi-focal placement it's oversized and would work great if I was cross-eyed. She is the one who measures your eyes for proper fit to your lenses, so why so many problems? Her stature is of one struggling to hold it together till she gets home to explode and flip her lid from dealing with people who are beneath her. I will never return and I will let everyone know this is definitely not the place to go! I will be asking for my records to be transferred to another office that knows what they are doing and just not take your money. Poor work, poor service, no one go here!!!!! Terrible, terrible place!

Not real happy with front desk, everyone else was very helpful and seemed pleased that my wife and I chose to visit and pay for their service. Front desk seemed upset that we had inconvenienced her. Seemed as though it was very difficult to stretch a smile over that condescending, uncaring, attitude. We had issues with the eyewear and was put on the back burner. We didn't tolerate this but someone more demure may have put up with it and wouldn't have been able to afford to say anything. There are facilities that can have glasses done in an hour or at least the same day. This needs to be taken into consideration when setting up a business plan. I am native to the area but just recently moved back. This business practice would not survive in bigger cities. To be truthful we won't be back. Same old cliquey Fort Scott. I truly believe that family and friends are the only people leaving positive reviews.

Visit was great but when I went to get my contacts I learned they ran all of my insurance. So when I went to buy contacts I got denied and had to go through the whole process of calling my insurance and getting it reinstated. I expected more from a place open since 1977. Stealing/ running insurance money so they could get an extra profit on the expense of their clients is not cool. Will definitely never ever go back. I'm extremely disappointed.

Staff have always been kind and friendly. We've seen Dr Foulk for our young son and she is amazing!! So great with the kiddo, and yet informative with us as parents. They staff and Dr never made us feel pressured into any kind of purchases. They are truly there to serve you as a customer. Love it. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5, is it has taken well over a month to get our sons glasses in. We are going to have to order a second pair at this rate, so when he breaks one he doesnt have to go longer than a month without glasses while waiting for repairs.

I recently moved into the area and needed an optometrist who would bill my insurance. I called the office and gave them my information. Within a day they called me back not only letting me know that, yes they would take my insurance, but also let me know what my co-pay would be for a visit. I made my appointment (for a Saturday which really helps the ol' work schedule) and went in. They were a little busy, but they did call me back within 30 minutes. These folks are thorough. Dr. Mitchell spent a considerable amount of time explaining every step of the process and why my first pair of glasses (from last summer and a different state) didn't work. We discussed my options and settled on a two pair solution. Selecting glasses was easy and they new exaclty what my insurance would cover or what my co-pay for them would be. A few weeks later I went in to pick up my glasses. It's only been a week, but I saw a change immediately. Now I can wear these new glasses all day comfortably without headaches. I found these folks to be personable, professional, helpful, and worth any wait. I can strongly recommend Eye Center of Fort Scott.

Def not coming here anymore. Only one call back and if you miss that call, oh well! No more calls, nothing. Then everyone is on vacation at the same time in the summer. Doctors are great, but customer service is absolute garbage. Time to find a different place to use.
