Dr. James L. Pyle Optometrist

Dr. Pyle and his staff are incredible and thorough. I have been to three different optometrists in town in which none of them could get my prescription correct. I have different types of astigmatisms in each eye and I was starting to think I would just have to live with one eye being a little off than the other. Dr. Pyle had me come in several times to ensure correct contact positioning and strength. Dr. Pyle also talked the entire time during my visit, explaining every thing he did and why he was doing it. Highly recommend this doctor.

Today was my first visit at this office and I dont write reviews often, in fact I believe this is my second review of a place ever, with that said, I was thoroughly impressed with this office and staff, I have state insurance so nothing fancy and I'm used to getting treated like I'm second rate or not important enough, however I can say that my experience here was completely the opposite. The staff was very friendly and so helpful, treated me with respect and kindness, took time to listen to my questions and answer them. And I also liked how everything was explained throughout my exam. I've been to places where I felt that i was kind of just rushed in and out of the office, without much knowledge on what was going on with my vision. Well that wasnt the case here, I'm grateful that I found a place like this, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Pyle, if you are are looking for a great optometrist and establishment.

I tried becoming a patient after moving back from overseas. Not only did they NOT accept my foreign contact prescription, the receptionist did not get back to me - I had to keep going out of my way to get answers. And rather than take a copy of my prescription, she requested I scan & email to her (which I did not have the capability of doing back then). I was disappointed because I like to give my money to local independent businesses, but this establishment was so unhelpful and obtuse, you couldn't PAY me to go back in there and deal with their antiquated receptionist. I went to Greene Vision group instead and had NO problems ordering contacts, getting glasses and even received a free pair of contacts for being a customer. I can't see this place ever contemplating good customer service.

They were helpful and made getting glasses affordable for me. Dr. Pyle has a great personality and seems to really know his stuff.
